Armstrong and Thomas Jefferson join John Marshall in Class 2, Region A after both made the playoffs in Class 3 last fall.

As of 7/1/2025 - Virginia High School Mid-Cycle Region Alignment Plan 2025-26 through 2026-27. Class 2, Region A

Interesting. This made me think back to when they were Group AAA Division 5 some 38 years ago (1987) when they (John Marshall Football) made it to the State Semifinals.

If I remember correctly, they may have played up that year (I think they played up a lot of years). Does anyone know what their true Group/Division (Class) would have been back in the late 1980s if indeed they didn't play up?
