robin van persie in the squad for the match tomorrow night. good news, hope he can come off the bench and make a difference. think we're gonna need him. on bwin i have it as

milan 1.95
draw 3.05
arsenal 3.85

so, it's gonna be tough. here to at least a non-scoreless draw.

also like man u at 1.35.

That is good news about Van Persie...

I think it would be a minor miracle to hold Milan to a draw at the San Siro. I'd love Arsenal to get a goal early, but I am not holding my breath.

And, not to be pessimistic, but I have resigned myself to eventually losing the Premiership lead to Man. U. We still have to play there and at Chelsea (who seem to have their own problems).

to join in the pessimism. I'm afraid Arsenal has too many State fans pulling for it to overcome the bad luck.

Things were looking good when City beat United at Old Trafford and we suddenly went 6 points up. Two games later, it's down to 1 point after two terrible draws.

If only we could get a quick goal in Milan. That would cure a lot of ills.

Spurs... The MSU of the EPL. I wonder what possessed me to choose them. Glutton for punishment?

Although Ramos seems to be reversing the hex.

when I chose Arsenal. One of the most successful clubs of all time. They haven't won jack squat since I started pulling for them.

I think the Arsenal Curse began when they decided to sport maroon and white uniforms this season (on the road). They should have talked to us before going down that road - we could have warned them...

For some reason, after watching the first leg, I think Arsenal matches up really well with AC Milan. I think if they can get a goal in the first half, they'll win because, due to the away goal rule, it will force Milan to come out, the game will open up and Arsenal seems to have more speed and their passing gave Milan problems even when they kept everyone behind the ball. I think Milan is content to sit back, but they seemed to wear down late in the first leg against Arsenal's attack.

And I too have a bad feeling about where the EPL race is heading. I think Aston Villa is a very solid side, but 2 draws with B'ham City were killers. Plus, there was a pretty long string of games at Emirates in the first half of the season against the lower-level teams. However, I think van Persie is key. If he's able to come back healthy and play the rest of the way, the Gunners are so much better. We just don't have a good "fit" with Adebayor up top right now with Eduardo gone. RvP can provide that. I say, if RvP returns, stays healthy and plays up to form, Arsenal will stay in the lead. I hate to say it, but Spurs seems to be playing really well lately. And I hope Everton takes Liverpool's Champions League spot this time.

Go Gunners!

The first season (1994-95) the Gunners lost the Cup Winners' Cup in the last shot of the game. I remember watching that game on ESPN while a grad student at USM.

Since then, Arsenal's won EPL championships. I'll worry when Wenger leaves. A lot.

I think David Seaman's porn-star 'stache weighed him down and prevented him from catching the ball.

The big question, though, is: Is it real maroon? Or is it an obvious attempt to look just like Alabama? Cue the black helis
