There was an article in today's Free Lance Star (FLS). The unfortunate news for James Monroe is that last year's starting QB had surgery on his arm and will miss the season. It sounded like they like the two QBs competing for the starting position: 2023 starter and sophomore up from the JV team.
The exciting news is the return of Rich Serbay and Eddie Haynes as assistant coaches! Eddie will resume his old position as offensive coordinator. Eddie was head coach at King George for a few years and had playoff teams there. He was the head coach when NFL lineman Jermaine Bushrod played at King George. The article didn't say what role Serbay will have. It did say he is a mentor to head coach George Coghill.
