I guess nobody now can claim they didn't know about Stricklin's letter. Rest assured, Slive and the SEC office will be watching this game VERY closely to make sure we abide by the rules. If we don't, the fines will be coming fast and furious.

I dont know if this fits here

But I am sick and tired of the dumbasses around me who continue to ring their bells during plays clearly against the thin line we are on with the bells. I hate to be "that guy" but I have yelled at a few of them. They are the problem, not somebody else at any rival school. Some people just can't help but screw up a good thing.

I am starting to have a change of opinion. The fact that gameday and just about every other outlet that is covering us is raving about the cowbell and associating us with the cowbell, it is just making the cowbell an even more entrenched tradition. Maybe Strick is showing the SEC office that we, as a majority, respect the bell and are willing to police those who don't. I do so love that the cowbell is becoming a NATIONALLY recognized symbol of OUR State!

The real question here is - Are we still cheering at the top of our lungs when the center is over the ball?

Unfortunately I have not been able to make a game this year.

Taking the discussion in the direction of the auburn bells we might see. But what is everyone's opinion of the best way to handle a situation where let's say, your seat neighbor sold his ticket to an auburn bell ringer who wants to ring at the wrong times. First inclination would be to tell him to bend over and shove it up his ***. But lets also assume that you don't want to get kicked out one of the biggest MSU games ever - how would you handle it without the situation turning to a nasty confrontation, violence, and having to watch the rest of the game from the junction?

Absolutely. And the ATM game was the best it has ever been. People in my section would ring until the center went to the ball and then just yell until the snap. Freakin' Awesome and LOUD.

Hate to sound like a whistle blower

But I'm walking over to the first yellow vested guy I see and pointing out the bro in orange causing a problem.

Yep get all those Awbarn pricks kicked out. Can't stand em, 17 all of them. They ring a bell turn their a$$ in and get them gone. You'll have more room on the bleacher then.

Take lots of pictures. I'm not saying our fans won't be dumbasses, but they lose every ounce of room to ***** if we can show their fans ringing, especially irresponsibly. Make a huge publicity push. They've already announced they are bringing them.

There is a number you can text (it's printed on signs in the stadium) to report security issues. Use it.

I think our fans need a re-education with respect to the newer, more liberal ringing rules. Now that we can ring the bells up until the center gets over the ball, I'm not sure everyone knows when they are supposed to stop. And a lot of people just wait until the ball is snapped and then start ringing again. That's what's going to get us nailed.
