Totally agree. The weekly rankings are bogus. Look at moving TCU up to 3 just to drop them to 6 a week later. That's ridiculous.

I like not ranking the top 4 teams next year. Just showing in-out. That way you don't know if one team is on the bubble or not.

Incredibly good points. And yes, further proof that the 'process' of the CFP is as bad as anything for college sports in terms of crap ratings ploy as anything they have done in some time.

I don't think they should publish anything until it is time to set the bracket. Or if anything, publish a group of top 5 and then the next 5. The advantage with 5 is you'll never know if you were in the top 4 or not.

A solution: Air the rankings until 2 games remain in reg season. Then go silent

until after the conference championships... when the final standings are determined.

The only way they will change anything to do with the weekly rankings is if everyone quits watching the show... which is never going to happen.
