The coach compared him to Anthony Richardson, in sort of a backhanded way. Do all these idiots, including the ones on our board, realize that he has played a total of 11 1/2 games in his career. He missed a game and a half last year in his first as a starter.

Does any dip wad not think that he’s going to improve? Also, I’ll take his passing the last six games of the year, which showed improvement game by game, over 80% of the qbs out there.
The dude has played basically one year of college football and is being thrown around in Heisman talk. I would say the future is very bright. And whoever wrote that article is simply a troll dumba$$

There is an article like this every year, and someone always questions whether the quotes are even true or not.

Since they're anonymous, this isn't really anything other than clickbait. If the author couldn't find a controversial enough quote, he may very well have embellished or made one up.

Well Coach Anonymous is a idiot, remember what he said about Beamer last year, he could not have been more wrong in everything he said.

Beamer killed it in the portal with the players he got, before the big 2024 season, LOL

Said one coach, "I think Shane Beamer is on the hot seat. He's had some issues with the portal, NIL...Beamer wasn't ready for [this]. You can tell by the way he handles his press conferences. He's had a few big wins, yes. But I see that program dead in the water."

IMO, if Sellers decided today not to play another down in college - he would still be a first round draft pick in the NFL.

He's a very large college QB (6'3; 245) with outstanding run ability/vision, a very strong arm, and a great attitude/aptitude.

As long as he can stay healthy, NFL teams would not want to pass on having him in their development tank.

However, if I'm Sellers, I'll take the $4 million a year (if not more for Jr/Sr) and stay in college/close to the family as long as possible.

{We need to come up with a script to merge Botman's responses into just one post, as they are so close together at this point. :)}

So I see we are at least now in agreement that he does need to improve.
Improve?!? Improve what? Man, Sellers is ready for the pro bowl right now.

Sheesh; where do you guys get these thoughts in your head? Granted I don’t finetooth comb the board but I seriously have not seen a pack of guys posting that Sellers is heisman worthy as is, straight out of last season. Of COURSE he needs to ‘improve’; why are there so many ‘needs to improve before…’ declarations from you and your frat brothers? Everyone knows that, don’t need to be niggled 50 posts/day on it. Of COURSE we also EXPECT him to improve, and if he does, he has the frame, size, and speed to BE Heisman worthy. That seems to bother the Over the Second Cup group for whatever reason. Puzzling.

If we all really agree that he needs to improve, why does saying it bother you so much? You seem really upset about it.

He did…. did you happen to watch the last six games? This dude is a beast with his legs and with his arm. I guess it gives people something to talk about to focus on his inconsistency the first of the year. That wasn’t an issue from midseason on. He has a better arm and will be more accurate than 90% of the quarterbacks out there this year. And as far as improvement, it goes without saying most people get better every year they play. That’s all I’m meant. . And if you have a problem with his passing game, maybe you’re the problem.

The Talking Heads and many board posters are so cliché it’s comical.

So, just to recap, we all agree he needs to improve.

What's the argument again?

Do we really just need the first kickoff that badly?

Also that article and the other one where someone supposedly said the program is dead...

Ask yourself: "Is that a lowlife thing to say??" If no, probably not Kiffin. If yes, it was probably Kiffin.

That guy is the king of slim balls and he loathes South Carolina for some reason.

1) Yes, improve
2) Fumbles, overthrowing receivers, throwing the ball out of bounds on scrambles, accuracy, and not regressing in the bowl game.
3) Eyesight and decades of football knowledge and common sense
4) Because he needs to improve

Yep….Juice Wells left because we weren’t going to have a QB when Rattler left. Lol. Look at Juice now, from star to undrafted to now let go. Brilliantly perfected self destruction

Decades of cliché analysis. He wasn’t overthrowing receivers and if he over shot someone every quarterback does that. He didn’t regress in the ball game. He tried to stay in the pocket more to not get hurt.

That one whooshed right over your head partner. Nice try though; mostly inaccurate, but still nice try.

Well heck, my bad. Go ahead and give him the Heisman and throw in several Super Bowl trophies for good measure.

He participated. Needs no improvement. I was mistaken, apparently.

Ok…he has the Heisman. Or maybe give to Arch Manning who I found out today has never thrown a pass in a road game. He’s the favorite I hear. Yeah, you are cliche

And you are blind and apparently don't know your butt from a hole in the ground when it comes to football or a 1/2 way decent QB.

He needs to improve. Cope.

Everyone needs to improve…thanks Captain Obvious. It’s funny how you’re trying to say anyone is insinuating he he is a finished product. I’m talking about the people not giving him credit and acting like he’s Anthony Richardson after five years, when he’s only played one year really.

Was he different the last 6 games from his first 6? So the “he overthrows open receivers” comments by posters is simply untrue. Did he miss a few early on, yes. Did he the last part of the season…nope. No QB makes every throw every time. You guys act like he’s a 7 foot Lithuanian project or something.

Oops, Arch Manning just made a couple of bad plays….there goes his Heisman.

And I bet I played more and know more football as a blind butt hole in the ground than 90% of this board. Thanks for noticing 🥸

Thanks for some sanity. And agreed; you can tell the guys that actually played football from those that actually didn’t.
