That's what our program needs. A Mississippi born and raised ambassador who wants to be here. Oh, and who has 4 star talent.
We could use a lot more of that 4 star talent and some 5 star talent too. It's too bad he won't be surrounded by it. I know he probably won't have a lot of time in the pocket, but hopefully he can scramble and find the seams to run through. If he's got time to slide, he needs to do that as well. Gotta keep him upright and healthy.

I hope he learns how & when to slide or run out of bounds. He does not need to take unnecessary hits.

Good point. He needs to play smart and not take any hits unless the guy gunning for him is a lot smaller than he is. I wouldn't have a problem with him trying to run over cornerbacks and safeties once he's in the open field. But he needs to make sure the ball is coming out of his hands on obvious passing down and distances in a reasonable amount of time.

Article is a good reminder of just how massive the jump is from QB’ing at a rural Mississippi HS to doing it in the SEC.

He could make huge progress this year. If he does he could pull a whole program up with him.

I hope our oline doesn’t get him killed.
Serious question because I don't remember . What were the expectations for our 2014 OL ? I still contend that an OL can play over it's head with the right leadership on the field . Now whether they can overcome some of the horrible leadership on the sideline remains to be seen .

If KT can play at an elevated level this year, but also get the OL to play at that same elevated level it would not only let the offense be more successful, but it would also help the team as a whole be more successful. The best defense is a good offense. I just don't know how that is going to stack up against better talent. I think the main thing is try to find a way to sustain drives and finish those drives with a score. All this is easier said than done, so if it gets executed then things may not be as bad as we think they'll be. State will have to play up in every single SEC/Power 4 game they play this year. It'll be an uphill climb for nearly every game they play this year so they need the personnel to have the endurance to make those uphill climbs and completing them.

They were a better group. If I remember right our highest rated starter was the weakest spot. For all of Hev’s faults he almost always put a competent group on the field.

I don’t think Hev would succeed either with our current new offensive line every year strategy.

This might be our chance guys. We need to convince as many of our Choctaw brethren to form a huge wigwam full of medicine men for the sole purpose of appeasing the angry spirits. It worked for Dak, now it's KT's time.
Fact:

Dak is part Indian so that must be what calmed the spirits. I am not informed of KT’s bloodline.
