If there are coaching candidates who are so caught up in the current status / pedigree of the RU program & turn up their nose .... if they can't take a moment to evaluate this B1G opportunity & they cannot see the 'sleeping giant' potential ...then there is no way that there should be any attempt to stuff money in their pockets, wrap logging chains around them and drag them to New Jersey.
They don't have to sitting by their phone be pining away waiting for a call from Rutgers - but the have to be willing to look at Rutgers as a legitimate opportunity.
Without a doubt - there are some very very high quality coaches out there who do see Rutgers as a true opportunity - these are the ones you want. - and if they are given the chance - they will do great things here - the challenge is identifying them.
