Seems like we've had recent years where the first two rounds were more exciting, but all four teams left have superstars in the prime looking to make their mark. It could get really great.

about watching 30 pro teams run the pick n roll or the pick n pop every single 17'ing time down the court

I had them going away, but Van Gundy has for sure given me some second thoughts. To tell the truth, I didn't realize how good Dwight Howard is. He's just about on LeBron's level in many ways. Cleveland better find a way to get some ball movement and esp. some other people involved in the offense. For the record, i like the Nuggets to take the big prize this season.

As to the topic, I guess you either like the NBA or you don't. Some of it is predictable, but I gotta agree with the league that some "amazing happens" in most games.

There are two plays in the NBA. It would be more entertaining to just watch LeBron and Kobe play horse instead of watching 8 stiffs pass the ball around until it gets to Lebron or Kobe, then everyone clears out for a 1-on-1. Rinse, lather and repeat. I would much prefer watching an actual TEAM play basketball instead of all the individuality of the NBA. That's why I love college bball and don't care about the NBA. Besides all that, the NBA is right up there with MLB on the spoiled selfish athlete list. Some of those guys are ridiculous. Like when Garnett lost his **** after they won the title last year. It was like he thought he had cured cancer and ended world hunger simultaneously. I literally laughed as I was watching it.

Every time down it was the same scenario. Put it in one of their hands and let them improvise. It was entertaining despite the monotony. It still is today for those who aren't chained to the past.

Not even close. The 2nd round was full of terrible basketball in pretty much every series. The conference finals and finals should be very good, but the first two rounds were severely lacking for the most part. Sure there were a couple highlights like the Celtics/Bulls series and a few of the Celtics/Magic games, but as a whole the first two rounds blew donkey balls.
