he really has a chance to put himself in the top echelon on NFL QB's this season...He has a solid OL, good RB's, and good WR's...its all on him to put up the numbers...he really should end up being a top 5 QB the next couple of years

but until he does, the guy that got outplayed by Fant is about to be a top 5 NFL QB if he has the nuts to step up and make the plays

A few weeks ago I saw where someone had compared Eli's career to Peyton's career at that point. Their stats were surprisingly similar. And Eli had a Super Bowl title while Peyton hadn't won a playoff game. Not to mention that Eli made one of the best plays ever in the Super Bowl to win it.</p>

He damn sure did, didn't he....Fant would have been possibly the best QB State had ever had if he hadn't played behind the worst offensive line state ever had.

....Burress or Shockey bailing him out, he would have been knocked down to bench warmer status. Then, all of the sudden, he played error-free, smart football and led his team to a Super Bowl title. A year later he's playing with a level of confidence never seen in him. I have to give him props, as much as that pains me.

I'm just sick and damn tired of having the Manning family shoved down my throat everywhere I turn.

in bailing out Eli, because I think he was the main problem with Eli. Shockey was always yelling at Eli, if he didn't throw him the ball and as soon as that dumbass got injured, Eli becomes a very good QB? Sounds like to me Shockey getting hurt bailed out Eli from bench warmer status.

Shockey being up in the skybox during the Super Bowl was one of the keys to the Giants winning the thing. Shockey is one of those players that has a lot of talent but his attitude usually outweighs the benefits gained from that talent.

...has the personnell around him similar to the time he was at Ole Miss. They appear to be making the same type plays etc that took Eli to another level in college. The OL is giving him time to make the plays which make sme wonder, why cant MSU figure that out?
