Ashley Judd Turned on at Tourney

Every time there's a mention of Judd, CNN, etc even though it be intertwined with sports ...some posters are always calling out posters, trying to silence others, calling for the thread to moved, etc. It's childish.

Me thinks some on here have much in common with Ms Judd trying to silence those they disagree with. It's a message board, if you don't like what you see then move on. I do.

Seems pretty simple. It's not like every thread must be read to get to the next one.

Sports arenas and sports in general are one of the last real safe places where people of all creeds, colors, politics, etc can coexist. Unfortunately though, that holy ground is starting to be desecrated by the pollution of intentional divisiveness and misguided cultural crusading that is starting to creep into the sports world. Whether it be in coverage/reporting, or the players, coaches, and leagues themselves.

Blacks, whites, jews, muslims, atheists, etc all gather and wear the same color and have a common goal of cheering on their team and enjoying the entertainment of competition.

Sports used to be the one thing where we could all have a break and get along. Even most reasonable opposing fans can share a space and experience. People literally come together to watch sports, whether it's thousands gathering in an arena or family, friends, neighbors gathering in a living room.

Just another aging Hollywood has-been (or maybe never-was?) that can't believe that almost no one cares what she thinks. Typical liberal "look at me" attention monger. 100% BS. Horrible actress, seems like an even worse person. Her moronic rant at the feminist's march was frankly embarrassing to Kentucky.

This would have been a non-story had she kept her mouth shut. Had the guy said anything remotely threatening to her I would understand where she was coming from but simply saying I like trump to her causes this garbage. She can keep her *** away from our games.

Oh and This is very much UK basketball related since she is our supposed super fan. Quit your damn moaning to move it to the paddock, good grief that chaps my ***. DONT CLiCK AND READ THE THREAD!!!!! It is not required!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son and I were at the Friday session vs. UGA..we went out to the smoking section to have a beer at half time and were chatting with other BBN members about the increased security in Nashville because of the Presidents pending arrival..we voiced our opinions on who we voted for and the support we give/gave during the election..some of us agreed and disagreed about the POTUS but we did it civilly and said Go Big Blue and went back in to cheer on the Cats..no offence given or taken.I wish Ms. Judd wasnt looked at as a spokesperson of our university..she is embarrassing..

This.

I don't care about Ashley's views. I don't care about anyone's. We're all entitled to believe as we please.

Sports is my escape from the pettiness/hatefulness of American politics. Unfortunately, people of all political persuasions can't quit mixing the two, including Miss Judd.

It's easy to run your mouth and be tough up on a stage surrounded by security.
She can't handle reality where not everyone agrees with or thinks what she thinks is important because she made some movies.
Grow up and be an adult and handle opposing views like a mature person or keep your mouth shut. Either way, I wish she would stop acting as if she represents KY and UK fans. She doesn't. Certainly not for me.

I think Ashley feeds off the fact that so many of you are so mad...

Nothing is going to change that when UK is playing and she in the house, the cameras will be on her.
UK's #1 fan.

So you're advocating to beat up women who speak their minds...

Ashley, everything will be okay.
Lol ok buddy. I've never seen a group of people cry and complain about other people crying and complaining more in my life. Who gives a damn what Ashley thinks? I didn't care before Trump and I don't care now. Why would a credible news channel ever report this? I would be embarrassed to even have to report this. Real house wives of Kentucky right here. You're a star in it Mikela D.

I do not give a **** about Ashley Judd, her political beliefs, or where she's sitting at a game. Keep this **** off the board.

I believe ESPN started the mixture of politics into sports a while ago. For example - since ESPN is a sports network, they used Brady's political comments about a certain candidate as a means of entering the political arena through a players beliefs. Every segment was discussing it. Of course, Colin Kaepernick went further and it was a topic of discussion routinely on the network. Political discourse is so extreme today, it effects everything. I'm not sure how anyone could be surprised there aren't more threads combining the two.

Ashley Judd brought UK basketball into this and this is a NCAA UK message board. There is no way in hell this should be forced into the paddock. The fans have a right to respond to her in an open forum. Not to mention you broke two board rules in the process of dictating the information here.

As I've already said before; I'm was well used to Ashley's political activism...which for the most part I could not disagree with more. But even by her standards she has really gone off the deep end these past several months.

Can we find another UK superfan instead of Judd? Because she is only gonna embarrass BBN more and more over time.
