This is a simple question that sprung from a spirited debate over whether or not Dan deserved an extension and raise after this year's 6-6 (1-6) effort. Lock in our recruiting class as it stands today, assume no grade casualties or defections but also no Channing Ward or other remaining targets. Also, assume that Fletcher and Banks are gone. With the roster we can expect to have next fall, how does that squad fare against the 2011 schedule? <div>
</div><div>I think we pull out at least 2 more wins: at Auburn and South Carolina. Much saltier D-line play, a few key OL acquisitions and development from the program guys, and an upgraded 1-2 punch at QB plus a true deep threat in Morrow means 2012 MSU >> 2011 MSU.</div>

One Relf stuffing, which sickens me that he couldn't lunge or extend the ball, and one ****** down of pass coverage against SC.

than this year's team was when it was healthy.

With a healthy line, I think the w's against UAB and La Tech would have both looked a lot better and we could have pulled off the win against USCe. Auburn was more a result of our defense being clueless.

The way the 2012 team is shaping up, I'd expect it to look about the same, 7-5. The biggest difference is that I would hope our D next year isn't clueless in the second game. However, our offense could be, depending on how long it takes the new O-line to gel.
