Heading to a cabin up in Blue Ridge for a weekend coming up. Its actually for a bachelor party (of the more chill variety). Our current plans are to just sit at the cabin and drink all weekend by the fire. Anything to do up there worth straying away from the cabin? And yes, I am sure we can find a way to "invite" someone from one of Atlanta's finer establishments up there for a night.

Golf? Disc Golf? Fishing? Any tips? Thanks.

I would suggest some waterfalls and trails to check out, but since your plan is to drink all weekend that probably won't be a good fit. So you should rent boat at Lake Blue Ridge. You can rent a pontoon boat that will hopefully accommodate your whole party and drink beer on the lake. I'm pretty sure that they rent from March to October. http://www.lakeblueridgemarina.com/rentals.html

Get the next draft of the recruiting tracker ready. That should be a ton of fun for all.

We went to Blue Ridge for Thanksgiving. Not much to do other than go to Lookout Mountain and hang glide if you are into that. They hang glide off top of the mountain and land in the town of Morning Fawn at the bottom

Creep up the road to the Ocoee River! Call Raft One and talk with Dusty or Brent Rogers for a rafting trip(they are both great guys and are from Ocean Springs, MS). Book a half-day trip or even the whole river trip...and then head over to their ziplines in the canopy of the Appalachian Mtn treeline. Then make the trip back to the cabin for the debauchery.

If you just do the half day trip, do the middle ocoee trip. In my opinion it is better than the upper ocoee, even though they promise you bigger whitewater with the upper. Raft one is very good and the ocoee is considered some of the best whitewater rafting in the country. You might have to drive to chatanooga to find anything to get into but be careful because they love to tow vehicles in that town.
