We'll find out how good St Joe is when they play Aurora Christian in week 9.

AC still denied a spot in the 2A top 10 even though they passed for 400+ yards against an 8A squad. That's cool.

Making this prediction now...
If AC makes the 2A cutoff they will be a semi-finalist at minimum.

I am a homer for sure but still like Johnsburg over both Morris and Herscher. It is tough to just use scores as they do not tell the entire story but the Skyhawks had a much easier time with common opponents (Plano and Rochelle) than either school . Rochester has to be 1 and Althoff 2 IMO. BTW USA Today has a score predictor which is really fun and addicting to use. It is often eerily accurate as well.

Halftime scores were 42-0 and 31-6, we just called the dogs off earlier than you guys did.. hard to compare scores in games like that

As said before sometimes hard to compare scores - if you consider not calling off the dogs having 9 different kids score TD's and playing your sophomores nearly the entire second half then OK...

Johnsburg looks like the real deal again. Herscher has multiple weapons on offense. Morris is huge up front and pretty fast.
Should be interesting 4a north. Coal City is pretty good also and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone.

A new discipline and sportsmanship program has been implemented at Althoff and it seems to be working very well, I'm glad to say, but sad that it was needed.

That said, it's saving 100 or so yards a game and eliminating the first downs given/taken due to being a punk. That has been a thorn in our side for some time.

With an O-line averaging 6/3-300, a swarming BIG defense and a little less speed than in years past, I think Althoff is ready for anyone in 4A-6A.
