What makes you think we wouldn't be writing off the season going all Russell from here on out? Last 7 games we are 1-6.
Robinson needs to get the bulk of the carries at RB. I love LDP, I really do, but I can't stand another season of "Perkins up the middle for no gain" 10 times every game. Perk is fantastic around the corner, or as a dump off to beat a blitz. Robinson can move a pile, Perkins can not.
Also, I see a bright future for Tubby.

The problem is not any of the players. Russell and Perkins don't control the garbage offense they are made to run. Both are extremely talented but our dubmass coaches keep trying to hammer that square peg into a round hole the size of a pinhead.
Russell needs quicker developing plays that allow him to get rid of it faster. That first drive he looked great dumping it off to Perkins for big chunks of yards. Then in true Mullen/Koenig fashion.....we stopped doing what worked.
Dan needs to play them both, whoever has the hot hand plays. Teams would prepare for two styles IF we scheme Dak's style in the playbook.
So yeah, Dak should start against Auburn if put up some good numbers against Alcorn. With Dak in the game, it gives our WR's a lot of 1 on 1 coverages, because they are worried about Dak running.
