on Thursday, we'll play a South Carolina team with everything on the line according to the newest Bracketology. Lunardi has 3 SEC teams in with SC in the "Last Four In." Should be interesting to see if the 'Cocks can hold on and if UK and/or Auburn can play their way in.

3/9 Bracketology

I think we got a good chance of beating both teams. I think if the three point shots are coming we got a good chance of getting to the championship. Even with out the three's I think that we could still when the first two.

The last few games we lost were pretty close except for the Tenn game but in those losses we did not hit the three's very well but was still there in the end with a chance to win.

Not a big basketball person but just my observations which could be way off.

I've seen a couple of people mention that USC is playing with "everything on the line." Aren't we, too? Only way is to win the thing.

Ole Miss beats Kentucky
Arkansas beats Florida and Auburn
we get by Georgia, South Carolina and LSU but lose to Tennessee

SEC total win totals would be:
LSU 14
Tennessee 13
MState 12
South Carolina 10
Auburn 10
Florida 9
Kentucky 8

Our overall resume is still kind of ugly.

Our situation is a woulda shoulda one now. There's not much we can do to change what already happened. What we need is to go back in time and get a split from the four most egregious non conference losses (excluding Cincy at Cincy). That would still leave two sorta bad losses but take away two really bad ones. Then do the same for the two double OT games, and the UM and AU homes games. A split amongst those four in any way gets us to 23 wins, 11-5 in the league, and second in the West with a chance to play Florida and Tennessee again in Atlanta. Who knows about the RPI but it would certainly be higher and likely in serious consideration.

We did this to ourselves this year. Four straight or NIT.

That was a big mistake we made last year, assuming we would get past UGA. Look where that got us.
True, they are not as good as they were last year, depth-wise but they nearly took us out earlier this year
and now they are playing better, just not consistent.

many of you need to realize that the whole schedule matters, not just conference games

We might possibly get on the bubble with a loss in the finals, but even then we'll probably be left out. We basically took ourselves out of the running for the NCAAT with the San Diego and Charlotte games.
