is that we really won't have to worry about who we pitch in Game 1. When Maholm was here, he was obviously our ace. We threw him the first game (against a 4 seed). He dominated as usual, but left us exposed to UNC and we ended getting beat in that regional.
This year, with Pollorena and Routt... neither one, in my opinion, has distanced themselves from each other. So no matter who we throw in Game 1, our Game 2 starter isn't going to be much of a drop-off. Neither one is great, but both are more than adequate of getting to through 6 IP and having us in a spot to win.
