Took the hour drive to the game and what a game it was! We controlled throughout, and responded to all their runs time after time. Make no mistake ya’ll, that was a very strong win in a hostile environment, loud AF with very few State fans.

UGA is a solid team, 13-1 at home before last night, only loss by 2 or so to Auburn. This was a great response after getting embarrassed by Mizzou. We also had to overcome the refs home cookin.

GA fans relentlessly booed Melendez and really rattled him. Glad he finally got a few good plays and swatted the hail mary pass away at the end. Then he waved bye bye to the GA student section. HAHAHAHA - HAIL STATE 4EVA!!

As I said in another thread, without the horrible free throw shooting, we win this game comfortably. Every other stat was in our favor, except for rebounding, where they had one more than we did. We shot 55% from the field, had fewer turnovers and more assists, and had a 46-28 advantage in points in the paint. The only reason the game was a nail biter was they made 11 more free throws than we did.

Always find funny and enjoy the "RAT concept" and predictions and the way the game started, I thought @Underdawg32 had nailed it. Presume the GA board was thinking the same about Nwoko.

How was it compared to the Humps atmosphere?
They have the same affliction SC does. They ramp the sound system to ear ringing mode. We got there about an hour before. We walked around the outside to get to our correct spot and it sounded like we were late, like they had 10k people in there screaming their fool heads off.

Once we entered the stadium, it was basically only the student section. All the crowd noise we heard was a prerecorded sample from their sound system. They have a better game day than the hump, but their fans aren't any more basketball smart.

Thanks for the live notes. I was sweating it out watching ESPN Gamecast, which posted the final and then suddenly not over (I'm guessing there was some clock review and time was put back on the clock?). Anyway, I feel like any conference road win is a good win this year with the SEC being this this strong,

In addition, I heard some really loud woman screaming on all of our FTs and some other loud tapping/clicking sound, like an artificial noisemaker, throughout the game broadacast. Yet, the refs allow it.
Reminded me of Vandy baseball.

I replayed some of the broadcast after I got back home and you could hear the individual screaming throughout. Didn't hear it at the game from where we were sitting. Tapping either. There was a courtside section that looked to be students who had plastic canes. Apparently they are in brought to the game in honor of UGA player Blue Cain. He was the white guy who got cut on the forehead during the game.

He was also the white guy that Dave Neal fellated all night long on the TV broadcast. I think he racked up about 6 points.

Blue Cain needs to put on about 40 pounds. Hubbard did great guarding him.

Never been to that arena but has always struck me as one of the worst in the SEC. Am I wrong?

We sat at the end, directly in line with our bench. Those seats are temporary, I can only imagine they have to get yanked for gymnastics. Stadium isn't great at all. I could hear state fans in the rafters over my left and turned to realize the building is cut in such a way that some of those folks couldn't have seen much of the floor.
