Pretty good scam. I suspect this has been going on everywhere. Waltz bragged how so many small businesses created while he was governor and especially Child Day Care. If they are Americans, they should go to jail. If foreigner they should go to jail, then get deported. If any Politian turned a blind eye and got contributions for the scam they should go to jail. That's both parties.
Something else to keep eye on is the highspeed rail in California. They spent 13 billion over the past ten years. Not one mile built. Trump cut off the funds, California sued, then pulled back. I am guessing they did not the discovery that they would have to turn over.

That’s not a bad thing- other than up until today it’s been snake season in December and yes I saw one 2 days ago.

That franchise lost its soul when they quit playing on the frozen tundra of a really crap stadium in Bloomington.
Going on lots of places and also a similar scam for providing in home care for sick or elderly. Those programs are basically set up to facilitate fraud. Probably would work more or less ok in a high trust, homogenous society. We are still a fairly high trust society, but nothing like what it would take to have programs like these not result in tons of fraud or a significant percentage of costs being dedicated to compliance/enforcement activities.
Also, how pissed would you be if you were in Minnesota and realized while you were getting crushed with 20%+ cumulative inflation the state was handing out a billion dollars to somali fraudsters.
Got it on a good source that there are fewer than 50 cats and absolutely no dogs left in Minnesota now.

After spending the past few winters on the gulf coast, I can say that the Minnesota snowbirds are the worst of the Midwest Yankees. They are better than the NY/ NJ crowd but they typically head to Florida and bypass the northern gulf areas.
