....Stansbury deserves a pat on the back for getting this team to the tournament. We were exteremely young and to win 23 games and make the dance was an accomplishment with this group, no matter how you slice it.

The other side of the coin is that the offseason has been murder to this program the past few years, and he has to be held accountable for the results there as well. If we can hang onto everybody, then that will be great, but if we lose Kodi and/or anybody else, he has to start being held accountable for this as well as the wins/losses with young teams.

Overall though, two straight trips to the dance, and 6 out of 8. Not too shabby.

He does fine on the court once he gets his players going, the only problem is it usually takes awhile to get his players going because they are always transferring which always makes us a young team. Hopefully he can hold it together this year. I do think Kodi is gone though. His comments didn't sound like someone that would be here next year

....when Ben was asked after the tourney game, he denied that he was even thinking about leaving. Kodi has been very upfront about it. That means that Elgin and Osby are really going to have to develop.

Stans, the staff, and the team all deserve pats on the back, i agree.

We could be pretty damn good next season if everyone sticks around. And if Kodi leaves, then we have Jarvis, Elgin, and Osby for big men. 3 big men on the entire team...itll be hell.

and I think at this point that is a pretty good bet, then that is going to put a lot of pressure on the staff to recruit and sign a big guy this spring that can come in and contribute next year. If not, then in my mind that leaves us only with Varnado and Bailey to play in the post and that will be a huge weakness and depth problem for next year. I don't even count Osby at this time because his style of play is more akin to a small forward than a post player.

If Kodi or anyone else transfers then Stans needs to start answering some questions. It's really going to piss me off if we lose anyone and Stans doesn't freaking explain why he can't keep kids on his team. That is one of my only problems with Stans.

that we have to play osby and turner at the 4. unless holcombe is able to play down there, which i have no clue about. i think turner at the 3 and osby at the 4 isn't too shabby.

Turner and Osby are really 3's not 4's. Therefore, we will literally have two players to play the traditional 4 and 5 positions. So, given that, we are stuck with the 4 guard/SF lineup for the foreseeable future because there are no other options. And heaven help us if we have an injury to either Varnado or Bailey again next year.

...and I'm not saying whether or not he will, I wouldn't be surprised if he went to LSU. He's from Baton Rouge, and according to CBS yesterday, LSU will be losing almost 60% of their offense to graduation this year.

Sure, that isnt too shabby.

But Ravern is at the 3 and from the look of it, i wouldnt think he would switch.

And lack of depth is the issue. Jarvis, Bailey, and Osby only means there is no depth. Hell, we had 5 post players this season, and we were still thin on depth because of injuries to Brian Johnson and Bailey.
Having only 3 big men is the kiss of death...especially when one of them(Osby) seems to play better when he isnt relegated only to the paint.

I say that because of the potential this team has next season. He would have to sit out another season and at age 23, the NBA would not look his way when he is a senior at the age of 25. The NBA does not go after players that are 25 years of age unless they are a Michael Jordan.

Kodi has a very good team coming back next season and he can make it even better. Kodi needs to step up and prove he can earn a starting job. Kodi showed he can help based upon the way he played the last 7 games.

I don't think Kodi will leave if he thinks clearly about things and if he wants to be part of a team that can contend for a SEC title next year.... and maybe more. I think the coaching staff will go away from the 4-guard lineup next season They know it was the only direction they could go based upon where we were during the season with our two young power forwards and also Brien Johnson injured.

Put the facts clearly in his face and he needs to quit talking to Kyle Veazey about what he is going to do.

I think he is an idiot if he leaves.
