Any other braves' fans excited about this year? Headed to pearl Saturday to watch them. With opening day Monday, probably won't get to see medlen or Hudson; it'll probably be Teheran or maholm.

I'm excited that they are coming to Pearl

I'll be wearing Cardinals gear though.

The Cardinals used to play some exhibition games in Memphis, and they were always fun to go to. It's about time for them to go back.

If they do it the way the Cardinals did it, you will see the Braves fourth or fifth starter like you said. But from what I understand, they are billing it as the Atlanta Braves vs. the Future Braves, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Maholm go up against Tehran. I'd be surprised if Maholm doesn't start because of his Mississippi connections. Maholm will probably go about five and then you will see the bullpen.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Upton brothers and Craig Kimbrel as well as Maholm of course.

Gotta feeling that braves lineup is gonna make trustmark look small Saturday. Lots of power

Maybe- Trustmark Park is big time pitcher's park. But if you do hit a home run there, it's usually a really impressive shot.

Trustmark's dimensions down the Right field lines and dead center are actually deeper than Turner's. I'm not sure how the power alley's compare, but Trustmark is not necessarily known as a launching pad. Talking to people who actually have played there, if you hit one out of the yard at Trustmark, you earned it, no matter what level you play at.

Trustmark:
Left: 330'
Center: 402'
Right: 332'

Turner:
Left: 335'
Center: 401'
Right: 330'

Also, Turner is known as one of the lowest ranking parks every year in terms of home runs (mainly because their clubs center around pitching) and run production. It is very much known as a pitchers park, so it makes sense to have Pearl reflect that.

Part of my thinking is idea that major leaguers would be facing minor leaguers.

Best thing to me seems like they all feed off each other. Especially Justin Uptin and J-Hey. While Jason has never been known as being lazy as upton has. I think it great both now have a guy in their same talent pool to push each other.

I think bigger for Justin is having his brother B.J. there than having Heyward. Having your brother talk to you is a huge thing.

If Simmons can get on base, the braves will lead nl in runs, maybe majors. Freeman, Heyward, and uptons are gonna have huge years. Don't let uggla and McCann (when he returns) have big years or this could be one if best braves teams ever. Pitching will be good and great if Teheran has roy type season like I hope he will
