Arkansas swept South Carolina on the road, and Alabama did the same to Georgia. LSU swept Auburn in a West vs West matchup. The West is super strong this year it appears. Of course, we let the West down by not stealing at least 2 on the road.
Awesome, keep us posted on the final.
ETA: we need OM to lose. A&M will not keep winning, but OM could. If A&M can steal a series from them at home, it will only help us.

Their coach has more of a fetish ****ing than Cohen ever thought of having. Against teams with lesser arms and bullpens they can get away with that by scoring despite the ****. Like this afternoon against the Bears. But with our pen and (hopefully) three solid starters by that series they cant bank on a big inning and their mini-Augie coach will still waste outs allowing us to win all 3.
They only had 5 HR as a team coming into this weekend so I'm not scared of a big inning that way. They K just as much as us but don't get on base nearly as much. And when they do get on they waste outs. I really like our matchup over there.
In other words, their 5-1 record is just a hoax...

Ole Miss's pitching staff is pretty good though. I don't think you can call a team with a surefire first round pick in Wahl and a staff that ranks in the top half of the SEC a lesser pitching staff though.

I'm talking depth. Wahl is great and he mowed their asses down. Their depth is nowhere near our level though.
And my lesser arms sentence was generic but OM Sunday arms and pen would qualify as lesser in my opinion
Damn I forgot Cohen isn't to blame for anything. Guess I'll have to figure out who else puts the lineups together. Players have to step up but if we don't have the best guys competing it's tough.

Ole miss gets UT, Georgia and Missouri this year. I wish we had that schedule. They have to go to Gainesville next weekend. The gators have improved some over the past two weeks (2-4 vs KY and Vandy), but the Rebs better win on Friday night or it could get bad for them down there.
Ole miss will win most if their Friday night games. An ace like wahl is the ingredient that's holding us back more than anything. Woodruff needs to be that guy. Lindgren and graveman are top notch Saturday and Sunday guys; unfortunately we have to use them Friday and Saturday where they're average
The SEC baseball championship for the regular season used to really be a true championship because with 12 teams you played every team in the league but one. That's close enough you felt like it was reasonably fair for everyone. Now with 14 its just a crap shoot given you can have 2 West teams whose 3 East opponents don't even intersect at all. Its not a true championship any more.
Bump. I called the sweep on March 4 after the St Joseph's series. Today Lindgren will prove me right.
