<div class="messagebody">Gleaming through all the published sources of info... ( Everything beyond this is pure conjecture.)

A&M is past the point of no return. It has to leave.
Baylor and it's President Ken Starr are heading up all opposition to A&M's move both politically and legally.
The SEC and t.u. are staying out of legal arguments in that they are looking at possibly raiding another conference to fill the gap left by A&M.
The Big 12 is trying to get all of its members to sign legally binding pledges that will make it impossible to leave the conference.
The Big 12, Big East, and ACC had a discussion on how to fend off the SEC, the Big 10, and the Pac 12 from raiding their members.
The NCAA started to wade into the matter and then backed away, when they realized that the multitude of Major Schools under investigation may further weaken any position of power they may have.
ESPN is scheduled to meet with the NCAA to get them to change their rules to help the fledgling LHN.
The LHN has yet to acquire a distributor in any major market area in texas and will most like have to offer the channel at a greatly discounted price if at all.
Texas Tech's president finally woke up and is calling for the Big 12 to do something to strengthen the conference.

Everything else is just conjecture and BS.

Missouri is holding out from serious talks with the SEC because they want all the conferences to try and expand, giving them an opening into the Big 10.
Oklahoma can still beat texas on the field so they don't care.
The remaining piddly schools are unable to take any action on their own.
Ken Starr replaced the hard drive on his computer in case there is a lawsuit so his collection of child porn will not be found during legal discovery.</div>
