Season opener against BYU andthey hosted Bama, LSU, Georgia and Arkansas. They had a good slate of home games this year so I would imagine they probably had that in paid attendance. I'm just so glad to see us averaging almost 1,000 people over max capacity.

BYU- other than a few in the north end zone it was packed
South Ill- The North end zone and visitor section was light but the home sections were almost full
Georgia- The place was packed
Bama- Again packed
Ark- Packed again
La Tech- the only weak crowd of the season
LSU- Packed

The crowds may have thinned out by halftime but the crowd was there at the start of the games. I am sure those numbers are tickets sold not butts in seats.

In all seriousness, I honestly believe the paid attendance and what actually showed up to vhs (not the groove) is the number they announced

Paid attendance is what they use to announce but with the new ticket scanningsystem it is suppose to be actual number in stadium. Our sellout number is 60,580 I believe so being an average of 4k shy of that with the year we had is pretty damn good.

Better than ever for us? Yes. Good? No.

I cannot understand how we think we should be a relevant SEC team when we are next to last in attendance. I understand that we are in the process of expanding, but the demand for tickets is not nearly what it should be. We (fans) have to do a better job of going to the games, and encouraging others to do the same.

Almost every game I attended this year (with the exception of 1 game), I was able to spread out and take up as much room as I wanted. Although we should be very proud of how much we've improved over the last few years, we still need to realize that we have a long way to go, and that we need to keep getting more and more people going to the games.

Pretty good = averaging 4k less than sellout over a 2-10 season. That is what is "pretty good". I agree with the rest of your statement.
