Not good at all. The experiment seems to have been a bad one thus far. Doubt our play will help in recruiting there.

I thought MSU and OSU crowds were similar, problem was the game attracted...

no walk in local sales like an LSU or Bama would. If you didn't go to MSU or OSU then no locals cared about it.

stillwater is only a few hundred more miles from houstan than starkville is, so despite it being a neighboring state, its a pretty damn long haul for cowboy fans. it might have been the camera angles facing the osu side, but it looked like we had hardly anybody there. when they flashed to the state fan section, they kept showing the same guy with the double-sided cowbell. it didnt look good.

like i said, a few hundred more miles. 1 hr = 70 miles.

507 miles = 7 hrs 22 minutes (stillwater to houston)
566 miles = 8 hrs 19 minutes (starkville to houston)

my point was that the travel disparity was not that large...and in fact, was closer than even i made it sound. we should have done better and if the total attendance was only 35k, they should have done better as well. these bowl cities are going to **** on us if we are lucky enough to make it to one this year. they only had an hour longer to travel than we did. i coulnt make it because im a grad student that has a pile of **** due tuesday and a 3 year old plus all my spare cash was spent watching us in omaha.

but based on polo color of the crowd, we should have done much better. i get it....****** end of season last year, but if you want to point fingers at distance, its only an hour difference in travel time. maybe it was better than it appeared on tv.

Stillwater to Houston = 508 miles.
Starkville to Houston = 566 miles.

Neither school has the majority of their fanbase inside their own town.

I think MSU had more people than OSU, but both crowds were similar.

This game had no local appeal. Neutral city week 1 games would do a lot better with name band teams with national appeal.

yeah, and then we'd go 6-6 and everyone would be content going to a ****** bowl when we really kinda sucked and we'd keep the entire staff around except the ones actually good enough to get an offer from a power program, but we'd have that liberty/bbva/independence/whatever bowl to hold onto a half decade into the mullen era!!!!

yall need to realize that we are better off finding out what kinda HC we really got instead of letting him keep going 6-6 or 7-5 with no quality Ws, but we keep him around because we are msu and aren't about to fire a coach that took us bowling.

I saw that and thought it was a new Score Mobile feature where..

... it predicts the attendance for next week.
