Last week I took us -26 for an undisclosed amount. After taking that bet, I felt like I could take the print-off copyofthe pending bet up to Bankplus and they would let me borrow money against it, thats how confident I was. After talking with a fellow co-worker, he has changed my view a little. He doesnt gamble and basically said that if he were to bet, that he would probably take Memphis and this is why: Coaches basically going to have an "get in and get out with a W" mentality on this game, try not to get anyone hurt, starterswont play a whole lot, run just a small section ofthe playbook as to not show AUmuch. Final score: MSU 30 Memphis 10. I was like, well ****! Any thoughts on that?

Knowing that, I could see us taking the foot off the gas if the game gets out of hand early. But I also know that Memphis lost a lot of starters from an already terrible team, is implementing a new offense, and is starting a true freshmens center and a QB that's never played a down of D1 football. Our 2nd string might be able to cover that spread.

I'm picking us to cover in my college football pick 'em, but there's no way I'd put any substantial amount of money on the game.

Thoughts on the game... Memphis is going to be raelly, really bad. Our second and third teamers will be going balls out when they get ini the game, and I think atleast our 2nd teamers are better than Memphis' 1st, and probably some of our 3rd teamers could start for them. </p>

Russell and Farve are going to get a lot of live practice. Russell got a lot of the snaps last year. They will get the opportunity to prove themselves. If Mullen can run up the score with his second and third guys he will do it. Now I do not think that you will see the total package when Relf is in the game. I do not think that you will see much other than a base defense also. If we get off to a quick start and put up 3 td in the first half we will cover.</p>

then wait until about 15 min before kickoff. There is a good chance the line will move to -28.5. "Middle" your bet by taking Memphis and the points. This way you will only lose your juice and have a chance to win both bets at 27 and 28 which are "key" numbers.

We have a lot of young guys on the O-line and D-line that will be playing for the first time. I'm sure the coaches will want to get them experience plus get out of this game healthy.

On the hand, 17 it, it's gambling man.

that someone had in their sig the other day - a truck pulling a fifth wheel camper that hit the roof/shed/covering of a gas station, causing the whole thing to collapse onthe Dodge truck. After watching for a few, I can't see how the driver could have survived.

Avoid run injuries, practice pass blocking, and also not show our true offense. Just my thought. I could see us covering.

I have -27.5 right now...

remember this....Tyler Russell threw 4TDs against Memphis last year....also remember they are in a new offensive scheme this year, with a new QB who has yet to take a DI snap....their defense should be improved, but hell man, they gave up 40.5pts per game last year....they couldnt get worse.....

we return, what, 17 starters? we will be a much better team this game than this time last year, and we are catching a very young, inexperienced team, who won 1 game last year....

we will also have more fans at their 'home' game than they will....
