I'll pay them a visit maybe sometime in the future when I feel like debating crazies again. This is the second time I've taken an extended hiatus from that place. I feel like it's necessary for my sanity.

I hate you though. I had to click the link just to see what was said, breaking my Hogville fast temporarily. I'm making myself hold off though and not going back.

You can only tell them the same things so many times. I'll check back every so often for the next few years though to see how they are doing in waiting on that elusive SEC title that Petrino won't be able to bring them. After all, if Petrino can't win an SEC title with Ryan Mallett, will he ever win one?

They are hoping and praying to win Saturday. They will be back with a vengeance if that were to happen. Not much point though, everyone here will commit suicide if that happens.[/quote]

This so funny because it is so true. Counselors mays need to be on stand by this weekend in Rkansas. Because if Arkansas loses again and it is at the hands of Nutt...........they will be past boiling a rabbit.....much deeper into this Fatal Attraction sequel.

Honestly, I'm just hoping that if they do win that it brings them a little bit of closure so they can move on. If we do win though, it'll definitely be worse than both the other two losses combined. They've had it in their heads that Year 3 was the year. I think this mainly has to do with the fact that they've got a more veteran team this year than we do, but regardless, the first two years were Nutt's fault. They've been touting that this one is Petrino's team, and if he doesn't manage to beat Nutt in what is clearly a rebuilding year for us, then they may be on suicide watch. I honestly fear for Nutt's life trying to get out of that place if he does win.

Regardless, win or lose this weekend, I'm not going back to that place to post until at least the spring. I told them I expected this to be a down year for us rebuilding toward a peak in 2012 and 13. I'd been saying that for a while over there, since before the 2009 season. I also told them I didn't think they were going to win the SEC this year, or next, or the next. There is no reason to hang out there and have those same discussions until the off-season.

You would think in 3 years that emotions fade. In general, as a whole with their fans, they have somewhat but if OM wins.....I can imagine the fire being rekindled.

Yep, not only was this looked at as Petrino's team but the team to win the SEC. After the Bama game, the sentiment....."We can still run the table and go to the Sugar bowl." After the Auburn game, "Our defense sucks. We were cheated by the Refs. The SEC hates us." Which there were some terrible calls in that game. I can imagine grumblings of firing Petrino and for sure Willy Robinson with a loss to OM.

Yes, the refs gave Auburn a TD they shouldn't have because the guy clearly fumbled while the ball was still in play. But nobody's mentioning that they pretty much gave Arkansas a free TD too. Nobody's mentioning the 4th down pass where the guy had to come back to catch the ball and was clearly down with the ball a full yard short of the 1st down line and the refs gave him a 1st down anyway. Arkansas threw a TD pass on the next play.

And if they're bitching about the fumble return for a TD, that's a bad rule but the refs made the right call. I absolutely hate the rule that if a runner is down on top of another player, he's not down because his knee isn't touching the ground, but the fact is that's the rule. And with that being the rule, that was clearly a fumble.
