felt the d played really hard. Took it on their backs. Kalu was going nuts cheering them on. Backups stepped up. The targeting could have brought them down, the play of our offense could have been demoralizing but they fought hard. The D line imo, is our best position right now. Still don't like the cushion given but this group seems to be improving.

Considering all the injuries and losing Aaron Williams this was a very impressive game.

I definitely agree. With all the injuries from Chris Jones, Kalu, all the LBs and then lossing A Williams in very first series, our defense played good. Held them under 200 total yards. Yes Rutgers aren’t world beaters but I see a defense getting better and better ever week. That’s what we are supposed be seeing from a brand new system being installed this summer. Congrats Diaco and defense on game.

Diaco is coaching defense and special teams, might as well put him in charge of the offense while we're at it.

Defense was solid today. Speaking of targeting, UCLA/Stanford had some bad calls.
