So 3* guys always reach their full potential and never get homesick, peak in high school, or eat too much? Got it. That must be how every national champion for god knows how long gets it done.
gotta say I was hoping for a response (not surprised I didn't get one, because, you know, brain cells).

all I got was 'like' notifications.

sad!

for someone who doesn't value 'likes', you sure dish out your fair share o_O:eek::D:p

We just lost to Purdue with a 3rd string walk on QB and no Rondale Moore. I think most power 5 transfers could start for us right now.
It's been hit and miss for us. For every Daniels, there has been a Vaha. I think NU needs to be selective.

I think attrition has already slowed. I could see one more WR leave that hasn't done anything in his time here. I suspect you will see things back to the normal handful that leave during the off-season.

You going to try and run a spread offense that requires a QB run game with a slow footed, large bodied QB? Good luck with that. If you don't understand that point alone then it is pointless to go into WR, RB, OL, DL, LB and DB.

So, one position, a QB. I am guessing you have never set foot on a football field. TG was hanging in there with AM last year and by all accounts it was close. TG wasn't recruited for this type of O but he apparently wasn't a total disaster. So how many kids in HS run the kind of O that Frost does? You like to highlight the pulling and all that stuff that all of the sudden is a coveted concept. Its not. If what you say is true, and it is not, then the recruiting universe just shrunk a lot to get down to the few that fit what Frost and Co. want them to do. Keep making stupid excuses, it just continues to show total ignorance of coaching and player development.

My point went right through your ear and out the other ear. It's pointless to talk about this with you since you don't even understand such a simple post that I made.

The Davis twins are still pretty good players and we will miss them. I think you over estimate the amount of "bad weight" they're carrying. Athletic DTs are VERY tough to find.

I think the Davis boys are serviceable, but are kind of tweeners. Big and pretty athletic, but possess no quickness or ability to rush the passer, yet are probably too small to play inside as we saw last year.

I'm not sure I understand the need to have them playing so well north of 300 lbs. Anyone who doesn't think 20-30 pounds makes a difference to speed and stamina, throw that much in a backpack and go try to sprint around, you're gonna feel that missing step.

320 for a 3-4 end is a head scratcher for me.

What sucks out loud for this defense is that a 3-4 is typically designed to free up your LBs to be playmakers. LB is easily the biggest weakness of any position on the team. So arguably your biggest point of emphasis is your most glaring deficiency. Yikes.

I also have no explanation for the regression of Honas and Barry. They showed well at times last year and even this year. Barry was a DUDE last year, this year he has struggled. I never liked the move to send Colin Miller to ILB, I thought he should have stayed at OLB even if he was only a situational pass rusher.

Well, that showed me all you have when it gets down to real football and not just some theoretical mumbo jumbo. Nice reply to a straight forward question.

And by not answering I am assuming you have never played or coached football.

Honas and Barry made a ton of mistakes last year too. Losing our starting safety has been a problem. Williams was good in run support. Losing Gifford was a problem. Both of those guys made plays and covered up some ugly at times.
