(bham news station confirmed this AM he was hired.)
Phillip Yost who played at AU while Chizik was there (kicker ?) said he was a good coach, good recruiter, a players coach and his record of 5-19 while at ISU, while not good on the surface, he was there only 2 years and that is not long enough to build a program, was a good coach, attended FCA meetings with his players while at AU...............
WOW, does this sound like some other coach he is no longer in the SEC and what people said about him?!?!?
I kind of feel sorry for AU!

thought it was a great hire. You definitely can't base the hire on just his record at ISU....but I gotta wonder how far down the list they had to go to get to him.
