Auburn fans calling for Tubs head? That just blows my

Seriously. Lower expectations, an area he knows how to recruit, playing the underdog "Riverboat Gambler" again? He'd eat that stuff up. Plus no confederate symbols/songs to weigh him down in recruiting...just years and years of losing. We also have enough grocery stores for his wife.

I hate Barry Bonds. But if he played for the Braves, I might learn to like him.

I'd say the same for Tubs. I detest the SOB. But I'd swap Crooms *** for him anyday.

For one thing, Tubs has built a personae of a coach whose job totally depends on winning. So, when the son of a ***** has a run of bad luck, his head goes on the block. Auburn fans do not like him. They like winning. That's it. When he doesn't win, then they say "To Hell with Him." Live by the sword. Die by the sword.

Another thing: What's wrong with having expectations of Auburn having a rock solid (9+ wins) every single damned season? How dare they pay someone a mint of money and then expect to either have him win or fire him. You know, that's really why we have all these huge salaries -- because there is no job security any more in that job. They have to make enough to make up for the periods they are out of work. Well, there isn't any job security for the most part. We sure as hell grant it willy-nilly.

neck surgeries a few years back didn't turn out as well as expected. Some observers believe TT is enduring some chronic pain.

I've no idea if this is true or not, but, having several friends who suffer from chronic pain, I have come to understand how it can change you physically and mentally. Being in a high stress job will only make things worse.

than what he makes now, or a position that isn't higher profile.

I wish that Croom had taken a page from Tubby's book - when something doesn't work, fire somebody!

Personally, I think that Arkansas could win. Auburn's offense is like eleven 300 pound headless chickens. That no-huddle spread is horrible, and they're really struggling to get away from it.

circling the drain. No doubt they are better than Arkansas on paper. But I betcha that Arkansas has some talented athletes who are capable of making plays.

I agree that they're jujsiiably a huge underdog. But saying it's impossible for them to win is wrong, especially against a totally screwed up team like Auburn is right now.

are the most spoiled fans in the SEC. They are 42-9 in since '04 not including this year and when they lose a game they want Tubby fired. If we went 42-9 under Croom we would already have a life size gold statue of him in the Junction (hat cocked to the side of course).

They are terrible. Auburn may be struggling right now, but Arkansas is just too bad for that to matter. Let's put it this way, if we played Arkansas right now I would be expecting a double digit win if not a total blowout. Nutt slid out of town just in the nick of time. He would have been canned this year for sure if he stays at Arkansas.

He could practically name his price to whatever Head Coaching job he wants. Personally, I'd love to see him at Miss. State.

Also needed a last minute score to beat LA-Monroe at home by 1. The loss to LA Tech was bad, but LA Tech >> LA-Monroe and that was at least on the road. Auburn's offense will suddenly "get well" against Arkansas's defense. Stormrider is right. I'd fully expect us to beat Arkansas by double digits right now. And Nutt saved his *** by leaving for Mississippi when he did. He knew what he was doing. If he'd stayed around, there wouldn't have been any BCS jobs for him to land at next year.
