The problem is this...every program from swimming to football has been recruiting illegally since the 1940's. The hypocrisy is that historically its the small time offenders like MSU who get sanctioned for small infractions like mom paying for her own son's tires a day late or sports coats or paying for 400 dollar summer school classes while other more politically powerful entities are committing much more egrigious infractions unscathed. Thats why no one ever going on probation is good for MSU in my opinion.

It's not just them. Florida state doesn't get probation if not for the Free Shoes University article in sports illustrated. Bama doesn't go on probation for Albert means if some has asst coach doesn't get pissed about not getting his small cut on a $200,000 payoff that made the CBS evening news with Dan rather one night

I stand corrected on that but the point that the only reason big time programs go on probation is because of implosion stands. It's not bc someone turned them in like it is with smaller bcs schools when they start winning too much.
