After returning from my trip to the plains and reading everyone's thoughts on the game, I wanted to throw one more thing out there. Auburn has a video board similar in size and quality to ours, but it is used to its fullest potential. They had great video productions for the game (although ours have gotten better, I know), well timed replays when Auburn wasn't in hurry up mode, current statistics from the game, and they showed scores all night. I think our video board people need to look at what they are doing and try something like it. I liked knowing how bad our defense was getting torched on the ground in the second half and who the leading receivers and tacklers from each team were. Ninja, take notice

Have you seen our video board? No way Auburn's is close to the same size.

but great to see updated stats and they kept updated scores filtering in on it constantly. And the ribbon boards had scores going all night. I got to the point where I was watching those instead of the football game. And did anyone take a picture of theirs with the final score and stats?

2/3 of Auburn's board stays loaded up with ads and stuff. We do that too, but primarily on the "other" boards we have on each side and below the main board. Our setup is way, way better. We finally did something that is better than what anybody else in the conference, maybe in the nation, has.

but the replays were terrible. It seemed like they didn't show replays to about half the game. Both of their first touchdowns got reviewed and there was no replay shown. I was sitting with a couple where the dude was a AU grad and the wife UAT. She said that they don't show replays on a lot of plays always.

seemed better than theirs, but that may be due to me not being familiar with their historical big plays and loving our historical plays. I do like how they show the ongoing game stats. Overall, with our video board's bigger size, clearer (higher resolution?) screen, and much better sound system, our video board "experience" is overall a good bit better. Except for the video board replays repeatedly showing the home team running and passing at will over the visiting team. They win there.
