Does anyone know if Audi Club tickets include food? I assume that these can be purchased through Rutgers.

@Scarlet Jerry HOLD ON....the seats on sale in the 300's MIGHT not have Audi access (like those sections do for Yankee games)....the club has been "bought" by a Rutgers group and it might be a private event. Trying to get more info as we speak. Still good seats, regardless!

Has the delta club been bought out too? Trying to get info on those but can’t find anything.

Sincere question. If warmth, food, drink, and perfect sightlines are your priority, why not stay home and watch the game on TV? You'll even get a private bathroom. Send the $1000 you save to Knights of the Raritan.

I'm not saying I love freezing, but I'll be layered up and enjoying the experience of being in the elements in the stands with other fans.

I used to think the same thing Lou, then I started sitting in club seats
You get used to the amenities real quick and don't want to go back

Buddy of mine has a suite and I've done that a few times as well; once you do that, you don't even want to do Club anymore

Your way of telling us you are not giving to KTR?

My dad is almost 90 Lou, so getting indoor seats will be the only way for him to attend a game in December. I can’t afford club seats for every game, and I’ve never had them, so it will be fun to rub shoulders with the high rollers on this board.

i also like to be out in the elements for a game, but not if it’s below freezing, which it could be for this game. I’m hoping for good weather either way.

My dad will actually be watching in Hamilton this year. Couldn’t get him to come up this time between the cold and the trip home. I even offered to get club seats but just too much in the evening for him.

This
We can deal with it this year and hopefully be in real Bowl venues over the next few years.

You get used to them and in some cases there’s the “kid factor”. My boys are dying to go to the game. But I know what that means with them after about 10 minutes in the freezing cold. I want to watch the game so if we’re going, it’ll only be in a suite setting where they can be inside if they are cold so I don’t have to listen to them complain. We’ve never taken them to a bowl game so this seems like an opportunity to do it while not spending on all the other stuff. Agree - doesn’t seem like there are too many inside seat choices.

It's all a progession thing

Once you go HDTV, going back to regular isn't happening
You buy a starter house, then advance in your career, along with that you sell the 20 year old honda with 250k miles on it and upgrade

For me, I like the amenities. Clean bathrooms. Shorter beer line. Food options. Wide, padded and comfortable seats. Less potential for altercations.

I look back fondly about all the times i sat in the old yankee stadium bleachers, section 39, row C. Even as a Mets fan, hearing the bleacher creatures do roll call and seeing Bernie and Paulie acknowlege them was super cool.

But now I probably wouldn't do it. Or if I would, it'd only be for a few innings. No backs to seats. Blazing sun. Crammed in like sardines.

It's all personal preference. I don't spoil myself with many high end things. Regular car, medium sized house, modest wardrobe. But for sporting event tickets, I will splurge.

As a kid, it was a treat to go to a game, any game. As an adult, I have that same excitment when I enter the stadium. Makes me feel like a kid again, and I want to maximize that feeling while I'm there.

Best 300 you can spend if you don’t want to freeze. I got an email a couple days ago saying I got my requested 4 seats. You big spenders will fly to Las Vegas then hotel rental car blah blah blah but won’t spend a couple bucks to stay warm. Only this fanbase lol.

There's something to be said for wanting to sit amongst your same fans
It's fun, everybody is rooting for the same team, camaderie, etc.
And if you don't mind the cold, it's the way to go

But if you don't like the cold, the clubs are a no brainer

I'm confused on how to actually access club style seats. Are they publicly available? Ticketmaster? Through RU? Some other way? I've received emails but it seems very generic - i.e. $150 for Field Level or whatever.

I disagree to a point. As an example it costs money to travel to away games. Thousands of dollars most of the time. So because I want to be among the fans of the school I will sit in the worst seats in the stadium so I can sit with a bunch of Grampa’s? No way I learned my lesson at The Fresno State game years ago. Now I get the best possible seats whenever we go spend good money to see Rutgers. Why sit in the corner when you can sit on the 50 for many times the same price.

I agree with you wholeheartedly man, in a perfect world. It would be all fans of the same team in the most comfortable seats with the best viewing location.

I’m like you, if I’m going to spend the time, energy and money to travel somewhere, I do not want to be sitting in the last row of the upper deck, regardless of who is around me

So it was The Provident Club? Nice!
Maybe I misstated that. I guess it was R Fund donors got access to Audi Club seats, which were allotted yesterday to those who asked. Not sure if people who had SHI Provident Club seats also were offered or got seats in the Audi Club at Yankee Stadium.

Audi Club was bought out privately Thurs/Fri of last week by a Rutgers group. I know that for a fact. Which group or how they’re handling tix I don’t know other than it’s “sold out.”

I got an e-mail yesterday afternoon confirming our reservation in the Audi Yankees Club from one of the usual Rutgers contacts for the R Fund. I'm guessing Rutgers bought it, or had someone buy it out for them.

I have access to Loft seats for most Prudential Center events.
My kids are beyond spoiled now with unlimited food and soda at events.

"Want to see the new Disney On Ice show?"
"Not really. But we can go for the food."

Funny enough we got suite tickets for Devils-Rangers game 7 (instead of Loft) so no food or drink. Just tickets.
Kids were not happen.

We've had to explain that not all events or games are like this. We didn't have this growing up and had to settle for a program and a pretzel and that's it.

Overall though it's a good thing bc you're introudcing them to sports at a young age

Most of the people I know present day who are into sports went to sporting events as kids

Nothing better than seeing the look of joy on your kids faces when they are there!
