although it has started a little earlier this year. There is always a fresh supply of opposing fan newbies to <17> with. What makes it even better is all of the stereotypical views of Mississippi that every last one of them invariably possess even though they inhabit or attended college in fine cultural centers of learning and art such as northern Louisiana.

Also, they bring a refreshing change of pace to the countless "summer" topics of uniforms, our business school kicks your business school's ***, etc. Also, it is a pleasant break from Coach34 finding new ways to tell us that our offense looks like a bunch of one legged hair lipped 17tards.

Thanks newbies.

This is legitimate. I think opposing teams make things more interesting. Our board goes through its lulls as well.

I don't understand the '17' thing, though.

I have just wasted 10 minutes reading all this crap. Who really cares about this crap. Act points, income per captial, whatever else you want to compare... who cares? Is there a good chance we could lose to La. Tech.. duh we are Mississippi State where more than likey we will and can find a way to mess it up.. example Maine, Troy State, Houston and a lot more.

A lot of truth in this post, outside of the last sentence."

"A lot" is not a word in the English language...search Websters....douche.

No, all kidding aside, I have spent ample time in Ruston years ago. I found the town actually pretty nice except for the liquor thing. If that has been corrected, it is probably a nice little town. Nice except for the "run over to the other board in advance of our *** whipping" 17tards.

I realize that our guy started it, but I wanted to chime in when people started banging on Ruston and the school I hold three degrees from. In kind.

I'd love nothing more that to have some legitimate discussions on the game. I've been thinking about creating a 'meet your opening day opponent' type post with some solid info on our squad, if there's an audience for it.

It's not that some of your posters have (really, really) poor grammar.

It's that they showcase these skills in posts within which they call us 'idiots' and 'rednecks'.

The irony there is palpable.

Incoming freshman average ACT (MSU): 23.6

English section vs. overall score here?

The english section score is the only thing that matters on this board. It is damned near sacred. Dig that **** up for us, will you?

The overall score has math in it....You will not be able to beat us in Math -- given that Troy McClure (sp?) is an alumn. 80.17% of the board will agree on this point.

Yeah I know. I couldn't find it broken down any further. I feel comfortable assuming that the scores would be proportional to the totals, though.

This is some of the craziest mess I have read on either of our boards - Tech or MSU. You boys are just silly. I hope this is in fun, because some of it really just isn't funny. Who gives a diddly flipping damn about any of this? We're about to have a fantastic football game day experience and you boys are arguing whose ACT scores are highest? Who spells the best? Let's cancel the damn game and have a Spelling Bee instead. Y'all are killin' me.

Talking about how bad we beat them last time and how bad we will beat this time got old. The game (and especially the pregame) will be A LOT of fun. I can't wait.

you are most certainly into high school football.

The high school gameday experience has the college gameday experience beat in relative terms -- handsdown. No competition.

idiots. But, no self respecting coon *** (we won't explore that unless you insist) would be caught dead in Ruston. Ruston is on the other side of the globe from coon asses as far as they are concerned.

Ruston = Baptist

Acadiana = not Baptist.

That's about as concise as I can put it. Ruston is (or at least was) dry. No coon *** could possibly live in a dry parrish. Hell, the phrase "dry parrish" alone is quite amusing. So, feel free to call them on their substandard school and how they could increase their academic rigor by uniting with their sister institution, Grambling. But, coon asses in Ruston? Ain't gonna happen.

I know this, I used to live there.... Thought a LT fan would have made this reply
But, thanks for saving everyone time from looking this up on Wikipedia. Glad someone understands.
