quite a few of those were against Johnson Central 4 A Champs with Running Clock - and Knoxville Catholic with 9 D1 Schollys - Heck Knoxville Cath has a Sophmore who DOESN'T START and has given verbal to LSU -

I am sure there were some good football teams in that video, but many had DLinemen who could be stand ins for the Lollypop Guild.

If I was the opposing teams coach I would tell the DL to hang on to his legs for dear life and when they start throwing flags for defensive holding I would to him to roll into him like a log and hope he trips and falls.

Those kids look like toddlers riding an elephant.

I live in Lexington, and have never lived in Eastern Kentucky, but let's not act like these D-Linemen Dotson is blocking in his videos are any more inferior that what we see Jedrick Wills blocking or we saw Landon Young blocking when he was in high school. Watched the highlights of him blocking Louisville Central players in the state title game and they all looked small compared to Dotson. That's what a 6'6" 300 pound OT looks like in high school. See the same size advantage as when I watched videos of Wills and Young playing at Lafayette.

Yeah, big kids with Div 1 bodies are going to look bigger than kids who are done playing after high school. Noting that fact is not a slam against Austin. He does his job well against his opponents. He won't see many small players in the SEC.

Austin is a project in every sense of the word. You cant teach 6"6 310 with his athleticism. The coaches are banking on him learning technique

Thanks for the video, that is one good looking high school football team. I bet Bearmeat would have loved to have had them back in the day. Belfry must have one hell of a weight training program.

Not sure they even had weight programs in his day but Don Gullet broke Calvin Bird's Kentucky high school scoring record I believe, but alas, didn't continue, seems like he had a pretty good fast ball also.

I think Gullet may have scored about 60 points in a high school basketball game also. He was a superb athlete. One of Kentucky's finest ever.

Man could he throw as little as he was, like 5-11. But the rotator cuff thing got to him & cut his career short.

While you are watching #61 Dotson's highlight clips, also take note of #44 for comparison. He's usually lined up at tight end. (#44 is Cole Bentley.) I like Dotson.

That's what I was thinking, he was blocking some undersized kids. I would like to see film where he takes on people his size
You will get the chance when he puts on that Kentucky uniform. He will line up against the SEC's best and with some excellent coaching and weight training should be more than capable of holding his own.

I much prefer a 3 star from a high school in Kentucky, especially a lineman, then a 3 star from another state. A Kentucky kid has family and friends watching him, everyone in his hometown knows he's going to UK, especially if he's from Eastern Kentucky, and the last thing he wants is to let his family and friends down. The weight of his hometown is on his shoulders. Think about it, if you did something that not many from your hometown had done, would you want to fail. I know I didn't. Failure when I went to pilot training in the Air Force was not an option, but it was for 42% of my class. I think it's the same with kids from a small town in Kentucky.

OLD STOLL FIELD GUY!

We have several kids from Ky on the team don't really see how being from Eastern ky makes you a better player than one from west ky.

If he comes in January that will be huge for him, I just pull harder for those southeastern Ky kids for some reason and I don't know why :cheers2:
