2 years ago in 2024 we lost a 2 game series vs this club.
That was the year CL should have been fired.
This team is different and it shows and I fully expect us to win the first 2 weekend games in Arlington, the UCLA game should be awesome and I hope we get the W but it’s going to be tough but we need that now in this point in the season.

I don’t think I’d take that offer. I think we can win 3. But I won’t be concerned if we win 2. Or 1.

I want to win all four, obviously, but my point is moreso that 2-2 in this next week isn’t a deal breaker for our season or anything. I’m not going to think we can’t go on a tear in May and June just because maybe we drop games to some combo of those four teams.

Agree. This mindset of well take 2-2 vs 4 good teams is what’s held Mississippi State baseball back for decades. We settle for pretty good too easily. Don’t think Skip Bertman ever looked at a 4-game stretch and said I’d take 2-2 right now. Or auggie Garrido, or Ron Frazier, or Rod Dedeaux? I don’t think Brian I’Connor would take 2-2 right now.
