Watched it last night and it was BY far the best of any Marvel movie. It's pretty close to either of the Nolan batman movies. But to me those movies are different. But if your as big a fan of Hulk as I am, he stole the show in this movie (bout time). Mark Ruffalo is the best Banner since Bill Bixby. Great story, STAY AFTER THE CREDITS! My only gripe is I didn't like the new Cap suit. The one frim his movie was better. Other than that, it was awesome!

It was an extremely good time. Probably the most fun I've ever had with a comic movie. In contrast, the DKR trailer that ran before Avengers began felt like attending a wake. The two franchises couldn't be more different.

I thought every character was cast perfectly. Downey, Jr. absolutely owns Iron Man, as does Hemsworth with Thor, but the Hulk was something else entirely. I'd read very minor spoilers that he steals the show and I was skeptical. I remained skeptical through the first hour and 30 minutes. .....But those few scenes with him in the final battle are awesome. I laughed harder than at any comedy I've seen recently. I saw it with a good audience and the roof nearly came off the theatre. You couldn't hear anything on screen for several moments after one of his throw downs.

I really wish they hadn't put the scene in the trailer of Hulk jumping to save Iron Man. It stole some of the wonder of that moment to know it was coming. Regardless, I hope it makes a billion dollars and Marvel ponies up the cash to keep all the talent together.

Other than fake Jason Bourne, I could visit those characters a lot more.

I went in with my mind made up that I was going to hate the Hulk because I liked Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, but I was completely surprised to find that the Hulk and Mark Ruffalo were among my favorites in the movie.

The little surprising scenes were well placed and brought in a good amount of comedy. I also thought they did a pretty good job of having the skilled human characters contribute without being ridiculous. I am not a big "one-liner" fan and I could have done without a couple of those, with the exception of anything Tony Stark says because it just works with him.

All in all, it was definitely my favorite Marvel movie so far. I really wish Marvel had not sold Fox the rights to X-Men because I think Wolverine would be a great addition in Avengers 2. Hoping they find a way to make it happen, but only if Hugh Jackman plays the part.

He liked the movie, just said that it was not worth having to wear those glasses for the 3D and that the 3D was not near the quality of recently released movies that were shot in 3D.

Haven't seen it yet. But I had the same sentiment as aerodawg. Still think that the Hulk's character will take some getting used to. From the sounds of it, though, I won't be disappointed. Good info.

Although it didn't look like there was anything specially done for the 3D, in all the multiple levels looked nice throughout. I think it helped action scenes seem less busy since stuff seemed more spaced out. Only exception being when they shot the huge worm things close up, that **** should've stayed in 2D

Don't waste your money on 3D (like, ever actually). The 2D was great, and both the mid-credits scene (setup for the next movie) and the final scene that was only shot like 4 weeks ago was an awesome final touch.

Yes, I took my 4yr old little girl (she LOVES Hulk) & it was fine.

I saw where somebody posted about the DKR trailer & the "feel" from it. I totally agree. I know Nolan's batman movies are technically COMIC movies, but you really can't compare this to that. Nolan's movies are pretty much suspense w/ some action. Plot twists & tee-ninnie things you have to pay attention to (Memento's my favorite). Obviously his take on Batman is completely UNPRECEDENTED (spelling?) and are some of my favorite MOVIES of all-time. But in my opinion, this is the best comicbook movie ever. Nolan could NOT have picked a better francise to attack. All of Batman's villans are psychologically tormented/scarred/messed up.

Ruffalo is by far the best Banner since Bill Bixby. For the viewer to BELIEVE a Hulk movie, they have to feel sorry or have empathy for Banner. Every movie Ruffalo's been in, he's pulled that off. Norton, not so much. Bana not so much either. And Bruce's heart always gets him into trouble. And you hsve to believe that on the inside Bruce's as great a hero as Cap. Ruffalo pulls it off! Gonna go see it again tonight @ midnight this time in 2D. Some of you were spot on about 3D (in this particular movie) not being worth it.

Because he 2D was full and I hate front row. I enjoy 3D but this was nothing special. The movie itself was awesome but I missed the after credits bit.

The scene after all the credits is the team sitting around a small table in New York eating lunch. There's debris everywhere, and while the workers are cleaning up, the team eats sandwiches and more in absolute total silence (save the chewing). It's a funny scene to say the least and a nice little filler at the very end.

This is the 6th movie now, and every one of them has followed the same formula. Nothing new here except that there were two, not one, post- or mid-credit scene.

I thought it was great, but I have learned my lesson on these kinds of movies, and I will now go to the late, late movie (not the 7:00 like last night)

PARENTS: I don't mind if you bring your young children to movies like this one, but if they start screaming, talking, crying, etc... TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE!

i almost always find it is the adults (without kids) who are the biggest issue... whether it is texting, or insisting that their feet NEED to be on the seat in front of them... or talking the entire movie, especially at comic book movies where it is the comicon nerds who spend the entire time either agreeing with the movie or being audibly disgusted.

I punch those numbers into my calculator and it makes a sad face every time. Especially when it adds practically nothing to the movie except to maybe setup the next movie. No offense. Plus if it's something pivotal to the story I can always watch it on the internet in 2 weeks.

Actually I just googled for it and found it. Really? It's them sitting around a table eating food? That's just dumb. For the record, I really, really enjoyed the movie.

from the pusscake village idiot Uncle 17us. The final scene is of Thanos (one of Marvels major villans) and the warning the Chitari gave Loki in the movie about "if you fail, there will be no galaxy, universe or place you can hide from us" is a clue about what will happen next as well. It seems Thor 2 will be next and don't be surprised if Thanos invades Asgard and lays the place to waste. It will take all the Avengers, Hulk & help to beat this guy. He is bad 17ing news!

But I can see that being difficult since Marvel has sold all of its other super hero rights to other studios. Spiderman might be a good fit but that's owned by another studio. I heard a rumor that they may try and make an ant man movie andthen introduce him to the avengers in the sequel. I rellay hope they don't do that..very few mainstream people know who ant man is..plus its just kind of a lame super hero. Wolverine would be badass in the avengers though.

Best superhero movie released thus far, and I've seen all of them except the daredevil/elektra/catwoman/superman movies that all looked unwatchably awful from the start.

That scene is the payoff from Iron Man's line about going for shawarma afterward. Then you see them sitting in a bombed out shawarma restaurant all beat to hell and not able to do anything except stare at the table.

I think the end-credits scenes are a nice reward that Marvel's come up with for anyone who sits through 5 minutes of credits.

I didn't love it. A little too much comedic undertone for me... and no substance. I should have expected that going in though. Needless to say, I wasdisappointed.

Also, the comedic parts are very much in line with whats expected at this point - mostly Tony Stark, right in line with his character throughout the movies.

The part where he was asking about the control panel, and if Fury had to turn his head a lot to see them, for whatever reason, had me laughing almost to tears.

Although no superhero movies do, not sure why I was surprised. But people made this movie out to be a "classic superhero" movie and I just didn't get that. To each his own I guess.
