Re: the Sec Network. Guy asked me if I was an LSU fan (I live in louisiana). Told him I was a state fan, and he said he could see why I would want the network. He said since he was an Alabama fan, he can always see them play since they are always on cbs and espn. Said state fans would probably have most of their games on the Sec Network since they weren't very good. Not making this up. Amazing sales pitch.

I think if you read between the lines here, your cable guy is an Alabama fan. How original.

I wonder if any of these guys understand the irony of talking **** about someone's team when they never went to college and are "fans" of the biggest bandwagon in the history of bandwagons.

I would have said, I don't need the SEC network for our games because I actually go to them.

Or no needs the SEC Network because this is 2014, providers is a dying model, and if you did a 60 second google search you could find it for free.

I honestly would have canc'ed my service right then... Dish carries the network and the Indian you'll talk to doesn't care who you root for.

You must live an extremely exciting life. I, like you, have a special place in my heart for all of the meaningful conversations I've had with customer service reps.

I've yet to find a quality HD stream like I get with cable or satellite on justin.tv or firstrowsports. You can probably find it for free but the stream is always ******. Not to mention, half of the games get taken down midway through, so I'm scrambling to find another one.

I called DirecTV to see when my contract was up in case they don't get the network. The lady in the call center was an Alabama fan as well, go figure.

CBS still gets first choice. But they no longer have the 2:30 = 5:30 time slot to themselves.

I think they have a call center in Huntsville and Tupelo --- so there's a good chance of getting an AL fan if you get directed to either of those...

I'm assuming this was on the phone? As in... the guy works in a CALL CENTER?

Just a little bit snobbish?

There are 2 DTV call centers(that I know of) in Mississippi. Why rip on what industry there is in Mississippi, especially when it isn't a controversial market?
Call centers must be a difficult job, seeing as how people demand answers to questions you cant answer. Lets pile on and rip on those people then shame them for how they earn a legal living!!
