So now that the "home" team exited after two straight losses, what types of crowds do people expect will show up to watch teams of no interest?

This will be a good test of how good of collegiate sports fans we have in the Omaha area.

In general I would expect no more than 500 to 1,000 people to attend each of the remaining sessions. If it keep raining around here that number might be even less.

DOn't forget either that would probably double the attendance if it was held anywhere else in the B1G footprint...

#8 Iowa is playing well at right time. It has been a long time for Iowa, but new era is growing in a positive direction for Hawkeye baseball.

Go Jays!

The more I see other teams continue to play in our largest city, in the home of The College World Series, the more pissed I get at Erstad. 6 f'ing hits and 4 errors in 2 games!! Another Erst-dud performance in the B1G. Iowa has sucked the entire year, and they are playing tomorrow for a trip to the NCAA tourney.

DE could try to say that our best hitter was out,Understandable, but the team from my view never sensed urgency needed to survive a tourny. With or without the leading hitter.

OWH: The total attendance figure for the third day wasn’t available Friday night. The event drew 4,507 Thursday after getting a crowd of 9,866 Wednesday.
My guess is Friday's attendance was difficult to calculate due to the dual tickets/re-entry situation because of the Thursday rain outs. Probably the same for today with last night's suspension of play.

Been pretty decent crowds today with an absent Nebraska.

Might have a decent contingent of band wagon Iowa fans like myself tomorrow afternoon. I'd still consider myself and bandwagon fan even though I've seen them play in Lincoln and at TD numerous times.

Looks like a good contingent of Hawkeye fans turned out today. As hard as it is to root for Iowa to win anything, I hope they win today. Maybe watching a neighboring program that has a fraction of NU's resources and fan support celebrating at Ameritrade Park will light a fire under the Huskers.

But then, we do have a coach that people have heard of, and who's a Husker through and through. So maybe winning is just way too much to ask.

There is no guarantee nebraska is even in the tournament and Iowa winning today would not help

The article by Shatel this morning was pretty hilarious. The spin machine it starting up...now it's all about winning the right way....and that takes time. The excuses for Erstad will continue because who he was as a player.

It's okay we didn't want to win this year anyway, next year is our year, or the year after that, however many Erstdud needs.

Yeah I thought about that, since Ohio State pobably has its at-large bid in hand at this point. But I would still prefer to see Iowa win. NU shouldn't be relying on Iowa to lose in order to squeeze into a regional.

Fans getting their money's worth. Hawks rally from 3 down to tie it 7-7 in the 8th.

Iowa played well, but it's gotta be painful to come so close to making it to the NCAA tournament and then have your invitation taken from you at the door and ripped up.
