Tell me more about this chemical toilet.
It’s a smaller version of a porta John. Has a seat and a bowl. Poop and waste drops into a lower compartment partially filled with a chemical that keeps the odor to a minimum. In most that I’ve seen the lower compartment is a cartridge that slides out so that you can take it and dump it in a sewer. First RV we owned had one in it.

How pissed does the other pilot get when one drops a deuce in that chemical toilet. Hell, even just pissing in it probably stinks up the joint unless the military somehow has access to some toilet technology that isn’t available on small recreational boats.

They just open the window

Wouldn't you hate to be the E-2 who had to empty those things?

I'm sitting here shocked at the payload weight it can carry along with a full tank of fuel. Unreal.

I am not going to say you are wrong, but the escorts were F-15E, F-16, F-22 and the US Navy do not use those planes. Those are Air Force planes. There were some F-35 which the US Navy use but so does the Air Force. Those planes were probably repositioned to bases in the region. I don't see Naval planes fling escort for Air Force. There are rivalries between branches of service. The Air Force would not allow it to happen when they can do it themselves.
There are rivalries, but then there is joint operation. Who the hell is going to turn down the opportunity to take part and or support a mission such as that? Rivalry isn’t going to play a role because we all give each other a hard time, but will be first in line to support when needed.

overall…that’s a dumb statement

It's not the navy turning it down it's the Air Force not letting the Navy do something they can do themselves. I have sat in Battalion and Company level operational planning, and no one wants to give up their spots. The Air Force will not let the Navy do something they can do, and it goes the other way. I remember getting ready for the Panama Invasion. It was going to be a Maine mission, but the Army won out and it came an Army mission with some Marine Support. Grenada was a cluster **** because both Army and Marines wanted in. It doesn't work like you see in the movies. Hollywood military is not real military. The Navy does their thing, and the Air Force does there's.

They make toilets that can mask the smell to an extent, but the tax payer isn't generally funding the small recreational boat.
