Positives: 1. Offense looks purposeful and more poised than any time in past 8 years. 2. Defense played great. Zach was a playmaker. 3. I did not think LSU was head-and-shoulders more talented than us. This team played well and won the battle of the lines for most of the game. 4. Mullen used clock very well (compared to past regimes). 5. Paucity of penalties. Negatives: 1. Not bringing in Relf for the goalline series was a blunder. Bring in Relf and run QB sneak until in endzone. Probably would have scored first play. Mullen will make some of these mistakes as a rookie head coach. 2. Cornerbacks are awful. I hope we're developing Thames to play CB. Heck, play Bumphis or Heavens over there. We need help. 3. Turnovers a problem, but ball was wet so this is to be expected. Overall, a moral victory. I believe we can potentially win any game on the schedule except Florida or Bama. Will be an entertaining season.

Our secondary is so bad, you would just think by natural selection he would see some plays at CB. Rusty or not, he can't be any worse than Damien Anderson. I was as close to some of the LSU WR's as Anderson was today.

chance to tackle the 6'3 230lb pr, and he did not break down and make the tackle. He tried to arm tackle him (actually got both hands on his waist) instead of putting his pads into his thighs and dropping him like a sack of rocks.

I don't understand the continued hatred for Washington. Yes, Washington was absolutely terrible last year. But he is by far the most improved player I have seen. He has for sure been the most consistent DB we have had this year. Damien Anderson is the CB that has no idea what is going on. He is awful. IMO, Washington has played pretty well so far this year and he has made some pretty good plays. Is he a great player? No, but if people didn't already have a bad taste in their mouths from last year then he would not be receiving near as much criticism this season.

His man is routinely wide open. By routinely, I mean every single damn play. He also can't tackle.

Maybe you think he switched jerseys or something but 26 was getting picked on all day. Not 18. Of course I haven't gone back and watched a replay, but the only play I can really remember that was on him was the first TD pass to Lafell. He bit on play action. Definitely his fault

Washington was not within 10 yards of Lafell and the other WR on two big plays today. The 40 yd pass play in the first half and the subsequent TD pass where LSU went ahead. It's not hatred. Washington and Anderson are good kids I'm sure, they just can't cover SEC WRs.
