First, let me say that coliseum makes the Hump look like the Staples Center. It is piss poor in every way possible. And as some have already alluded to, I think they were trying to melt the snow from inside the building. It was damn near tropical. It must have been literally 85 degrees in there.

Just a solid performance throughout. Great coaching moves by Stans by going big when we needed to and then the zone. Dee Bost played lights out. When we went down 9 after Randy cost us 5 points on his own behalf, Bost literally just said screw it and I am taking over. There is just something great about taking over an arena on someone else's turf. At the end of the game, it was hilarious. A complete 180 from Tuesday night.

Here is to a W Thursday.

I thought Ole Miss would win because I think they have better guard play. When Bost is settling for jumpers like he did against WKU, they are a lot better. When he decides to take his man off the dribble, he narrows that gap a a lot. Kennedy once again proved that he is not the second coming like so many fools here think. Remember when our resident basketball idiot predicted great things for the Rebels a couple of years ago before they folded like a cheap suit down the stretch in SEC play? Does anybody NOT think that will happen again? The guy is a nut case. He's recruited well, but he sucks as a coach. If he didn't suck so bad, he would have a much better job at UC. If this clown can't get this team with those guards into the NCAA tournament this year, it will be one of the worst coaching jobs in SEC history.

his insistence on taking the ball down low would frustrate the **** out of me as a Rebel fan. I think they were better last year with Terrico White running the point.

Just like Bost's settling for jump shots and not taking his man off the dribble should frustrate MSU fans.

that Augustus sucks. He is a 6'8 body that is too slow to take anyone off the dribble, won't bang down low, and shoots about 30% from the frield. He really provides nothing right now.

When Cranston fouled out, you could clearly hear all the State fans doing the "left, right" cheer while the Rebel fans were trying to drown it out with boos. I found that whole interchange pretty hilarious.

would be my guess. We were spread out pretty good. There was probably 8000 total. So 10% at the most.

with him in the game rather than Phil. He did have a key putback off of a Varnado miss and he takes some pressure off of Jarvis. He also hit some key free throws early in the 2nd half to keep us in it.

I will give him that. He just thinks he can take anyone off the dribble and that's my main frustration.

and Kodi flashed just outside the lane and hit a nice 10 footer. Big shot there. I agree that he needs to quit putting the ball on the floor and accept his role.

y'all booed when we started the left right cheer. He stopped walking - the boo's stopped. He started walking again, the left/right cheer started back up and the boo's began aGAIN.

that was a nice shot. You are quickly turning my Kodi hate post into me being 80% wrong.

the boos stopped and started with Cranston's steps and the related "left, right" cheer.

FG% - 44 third on the team
3 PT% - 48 second on the team
FT - 78 second on the team
Reb - 5.9/game second on the team

Hating on Kodi has become somewhat of a cottage industry on the board. If you can't see that we are a better team with him in the game, then you need to see Croom's optometrist. Turner needs minutes but they need to be at the two and three and not as much at the 4.

Glad to see Osby get 10 minutes today. Also happy to see Big John in the game for a few. Give Benock's nine minutes to Phil and Osby, and that is about right.

I would be tempted to give him Benock's 9 minutes at the 2. And then maybe a few minutes at the 3 and that's it.

Numbers set aside, I think most reasonable people in attendance would say there was a "significant" number of MSU fans there. And by significant I mean more than you typically would expect from a visiting team in bball (even a rivalry), but nowhere near half. We were very vocal and it was obvious the Ole Miss attendance was more than irritated about it. I'm sure that was apparent when watching on TV.

Bottom line: If you are the alleged #14 team in the country, you shouldn't have that many opposing fans in your own house. There should be a couple hundred at most and they should be easily drowned out by the home crowd presence. That obviously wasn't the case. We've had more in there in the past. But, Ole Miss wasn't worth a damn during those times either. I know Andy Kennedy can't ***** right now since he got out-coached today. But, he would be within reason should he decide to call out the fan base for being lazy.

too quickly on hating on Kodi. My main frustration is his insistence on trying to take people off the dribble. I will admit I was wrong.

Kodi's defense sucks. That's what surprises me about him getting so many minutes. That's not typical for a stansbury team. This is the second game in a row where we substituted on defensive possessions by pulling Kodi and putting Phil in during free throws at the end of the game. Kodi should be really embarrassed that a guy inches shorter and much smaller in lbs is being brought in to play defense in the paint. However, it's nothing new. Kodi didn't play D last year and he's not playing D this year. I wish he'd get inside and bang a bit. He did have a couple of big rebounds today.

Kodi needs to dribble less and post up more, but he thinks he is a guard.... Benock sucks... Good to see us play Big tonight with Osby at the 3 with Kodi and JV. Turner and Osby need 15min per game. Riek about 8 min.

My biggest frustrations with Kodi's play is that he commits too many offensive fouls and has too many turnovers. As a junior he should be taking better care of the ball. But, when he turns it on he's almost unstoppable it seems.

kodi had a fair game and he will get better at putting the ball on the floor.

Tied JV for the game high, and led with 4 offensive rebounds. Rebounds may be as important to Stans as defense. If he can keep this up, he'll be a key part of this team going forward.
