Now that I have a few hours to cool down, a few observations:<div>
</div><div>1. Devastating loss that could torpedo the whole season if we don't win these next two games because we ain't beating UK. No excuses for a loss like today.</div><div>
</div><div>2. When Sidney was shooting his free throw with 28 seconds to play the student section did their "left, right" cheer after the UGA player fouled out. Just as Sid was about to shoot they all screamed "sit down" in unison. Sid missed the free throw. It may not have had an effect but our dumbass students need to pay attention to the game sometimes.</div><div>
</div><div>3. Moultrie played like he was stoned</div><div>
</div><div>4. Hood has got to start being more aggressive on offense like he was at the beginning of the year.</div><div>
</div><div>5. Bost gave it all he had and so did Steele. Sidney played OK but he really hurt us in the last two minutes and OT by losing his man on defense and taking that bad long jumper in OT.</div><div>
</div><div>6. Lewis and Bryant were non-entities. Lewis looks like he wants to quit basketball all together. No enthusiasm whatsoever by Wendell.</div><div>
</div><div>7. I am still bewildered at why Stansbury did not call a timeout at the end of regulation to set up a play that would at least draw a foul because the next foul would have put us in the two shot bonus.</div><div>
</div><div>8. Sick and damn tired of watching every team we play bury threes at an incredible clip. Granted our defense sucks but some of these teams don't even shoot this well in warmups much less from 25 ft with the shot clock running out. It completely rips the heart out of you.</div><div>
</div><div>9. UGA had 4 turnovers. Auburn had 3 or 4 the other day. We have got to get more aggressive with traps or something to force some turnovers and get some transition baskets. Bring back the 1-3-1 or something.</div><div>
</div><div>10. No NCAAs this year or a first round exit versus a lower seed then Stansbury needs to go because we are going to suck *** next year like we have not seen in quite awhile unless Sid and Moultrie come back.</div>

1. agree
2. ABSOLUTELY. My son and I were discussing that as it happened.
3. He was AWOL for sure. Even an average game from him and this game wasn't close, much less a loss.
4. agree
5. agree
6. As usual
7. agree
8. sort of agree. With what we are able to put on the floor depth wise and with the ability/mentality of the starters agressive defence probably isn't possible.
9. see 8
10.If he makes the tourny this year keep him. I'll get blasted for this but he has done a decent job this year if we dance. Certainly better than the last several. If Sid and Moultrie go it won't matter who the coach is next year. Better to can a coach after a horrible year (real ones, this year doesn't qualify if we make the tourny)or twothan after one where you were ranked most of the year and made the NCAAs. We don'twant to Cutcliff anyone. That bodes ill for hires down the road. If he doesn't then I agree, fire him.

At least half the student section is NEVER paying attention to anything but the opposing player when a foul out occurs. Either that or they don't care and their stupid little chant is more important to them than the game.

I thought Sid played great today except for the lapses you mentioned plus a few more minor things. Judging from the past two games, it seems like the refs respect him more when he's active and moving his feet on defense.

I hate to dump on Moultrie since he's a big a factor in the success we've had so far this year, but I'm starting to think his knowledge on playing the low post is a little lacking. Three times today he turned the ball over by trying to put it on the floor while double-teamed, a huge no-no. Could have been because of whatever was making him look the way you described, but I've seen him try to do the same thing other times.

1. We will finish 9-7.
2. Funny, I leaned over to my buddy and said he (UGA)will sit down as Sid shoots the freethrow. I assumed our students were smarter than that.......guess not.
3. I thought all our playersplayed loose and confident to start. Then when we figuredoutthat UGA came to play and the game remained close...........we got tight and lost our shooting touch.
4. He plays defense well. I wish he could go 40 minutes for defensive purposes.
5. Agreed on Bost and Steele. Watching the game in person, I can REALLY see how inactive Sidney is late in games. He was gassed in the 2nd half. I was shocked to see he had 13 rebounds. Maybe my memory is foggy but it seemed like we got out rebounded down the stretch.
6. I have no idea how Lewis feels.......but my impression as well.

10. We will be damn lucky to win a NCAA game this year. But Stans isn't going anywhere.

Moultrie played like he was stoned.... looked like he was lost in space(sitting at home)
<div>Hood has got to start being more aggressive on offense like he was at the beginning of the year....( and in the off season needs to work on his ball handling skills.)

Hey Dogs, You gotta bring it every game! This game stung.

Heck, even Florida lost today.

Two days rest?, what are we going to do at the SEC tourney?, Hell OM fought back and won.

Hey Dogs, get your **** together, Man Up!

Incident was one of the dumbest displays I have ever seen. We have the worst student section in the country. Have of them don't come, have don't know when to cheer or how. I guarantee it affected the free throw. Hey student section a big 17 to you.

I was really disappointed in Moultrie. If he has an average game we win going away. This is why I still can't see he is a "lock" for a lottery pick. Flame away.

Sidney played a good game except for one play.

Bost and Steele were great and almost help us steal this one.

I was very disappointed that Stan didn't try something different against the zone. I know a big part of the problem was the sub-par performance by Moultrie but I would have liked maybe to see him swap Sid for Moultrie at the top of the key. Sid can pass really well for a big man.

I won't pass judgement on our post season yet but if we don't get Deville back for depth the predictions of woe may be right on target.

11. Marcus Bullard and Daryl Wilson were both at the game and both looked like they could still suit up. <div>
</div><div>12. This team's inability to go on big runs makes it almost impossible for the crowd to get into the game. Every big basket we make is immediately followed by a basket by the other team to quieten the crowd, usually because of our poor transition defense.</div><div>
</div><div>13. Did I mention how much I hate watching every team we play hit double digit three pointers against us regardless of how awful they normally shoot? That **** is driving me nuts. We have got to be on pace to give up a record number of threes in a season. I fully expect AU and LSU to combine for about 30 threes in the next two games.</div>

I know we aren't defending the screens very well, but 17, even in warm ups guys don't shoot it from 3 the way our opponents do. And I get really tired of seeing guys like Steele and Bost stand there and give the guy ,who's been shooting the lights out, a foot of space and just holding a hand out around their waist. What kind of defense is that? If all they're doing is shooting threes why not get up in their grill and force them to put it on the floor? They still probably score, but at least it's a two. He may pick up fouls sometimes, but I like the way Sid puts his hand right on the shooters face as they're letting it go. We are just not physical or intimidating at all defensively. Maybe we could put a guy like Roquez in there early just to send a message by making a few hard fouls, something.

And one other thing....Someone needs to cup-check Wendell Lewis because I think he has a *****. I don't know what happened to the Wendell Lewis of the first few games of the year, you know the one that had some semblance of a sack, but he has disappeared and all we're left with is a ****** that acts like someone just ran over his puppy dog. If Marcus Campbell was Big Feces, then Wendell Lewis is a Big Pile of Rotten Feces.

really makes me miss Barry Stewart. That man knew how to defend a shooter.

The "left-right" cheer caused a 60% FT shooter to miss his shot? The same FT shooter who didn't hit a consecutive FT shot all day? Try selling that crap somewhere else, because I ain't buying. And for the record, no, I'm not a student.

Hell no it didn't help.

Why do it when the player sits right as our shooter releases?! Why? It's dumb to do that. So let's go with your argument and say it didn't hurt him. Super. Now explain how it's a good idea to do at all during that time since Sidney can be replaced by Bost, Steele, or Moultrie and suddenly it's being done to a good FT shooter.

Your point is terrible.

Lewis has been worthless the past few games I hate ragging on our own players. But the kid has been bad. Not in a less talented type of way but in a that guy could not give less of a **** about being on the court kind of way, its getting irritating.
