Baylor (maybe Detroit?) is the only place that we might slip up.
Outside of that, there is no reason we shouldn't be a top 15 team headed into SEC play. Definitely the same amount of talent that we had on the '96 team... Man I loved watching Dampier draw the extra defender and then kick it out to Wilson for a trey.

When Sidney jammed that one home and landed in a crouch with his arms out and eyes locked on the ref. he had a "you gonna call a foul on me for that?" look on his face. Priceless.

It was a hoot watching these guys play Saturday. The idiot in section 118 screaming "shoot" when the third stringers were in at the end was me. The wife almost got up and walked out on me. I really wanted 120 out of them.

Wonder what teh record score for the dogs in a game is.

I want some of what hes smoking. Ole Miss will be good and could be real good if Kendrick is as good as some claim but State has a great team this year. Ole Miss lacks pure shooters. White had a good first game but it was against Valley. Hood has proven he is legit the entire year. The other true frosh, Summers and Smith, have both looked good but you guys have the luxury of bringing him off the bench. It's hard to get a full game out of either Buckner or Sydney so it's pick your poison, Bucks D or Syds O. Sydney has more upside. Murph and Moultre are both double double machines but Murph can't hit a ft and Moultre is a better shooter. Kendrick may be good but he is no Bost, hardly anyone is. Bost is a game changer....period.

State shoots better, distributes better, fouls less, and turns the ball over less. And has done all this against better competition. So while I think Ole Miss has the best, deepest team Kennedy has ever had and has a chance to dance, this State team could/should be special. Just no Stans stall please.

Do you think Stans get's any credit for the teams play so far or are you in the "I hate Stan Crowd" who says everything that goes bad for the team ison Stanand he as nothing to do with the things that go good?</p>

yelling the same thing. I can't figure why when you get an open shot in the that situation you don't just jack it up. Cunningham finally started doing it.

I am a Rebel fan first, I think Stans ability to recruit highly rated players had been his biggest issue if that makes sense. Being from Starkville I've seem more Bulldog games than Rebel games over the last ten years so this is what I've witnessed. Nobody can deny the man can recruit but when recruiting such talent it's hard to keep them happy. Most players these days are selfish anyway, the really talented ones even more so. It seems that through the years he has had just enough unrest, unhappy players to offset what the team players can produce. He recruited them so it's on him to reel them in. Thats why he gets the street ball rap. There has always seemed to be a couple of players only out there for themselves which screws up any chemistry or coaching plan Stans implements. Its on him that he allows it to happen.

You don't win as many as he has and not be able to coach. That's why this years team gives me hope of feeling the excitement I did during the final four run (still the most fun ive had even as a Rebel fan first) This team, to date anyway, plays as a team. Look at the number of assists across the board. Very unselfish. There is enough talent playing as a team to offset any drama Sydney may bring because he seems to be the only headcase to worry about, which can't be said for past teams. This is just my opinion anyway but his biggest strength as a coach is his recruiting so his biggest fault has to be not being able to control many of the players he recruits. In any given year most teams only have about eight players worthy of quality pt so even two or three selfish players can bring a really good team to mediocracy. How else do you explain all the success in the SEC tourneys? Because even the headcases know thats thier last shot so for a few days they get thier head out of thier ***. I did use paragraphs, not sure wtf happened.

our NCAA Tournament sites could very well be Nashville for 1st and 2nd, Atlanta for Regional and New Orleans for the Final Four.
