Bad, bad, bad loss

Bama is horrible, Stans got outcoaches and for what seems like the 10th time already this season we played with no energy or passion.

I don't know about anybody else but I'm about ready for a complete roster turnover. Continuing to watch some of these guys play is giving me ulcers.

I mean, they mug us down the floor on every single possession, have nobody foul out, commit a damn-near FLAGRANT foul (i.e.. no ball at all) under a minute to go...and it's all on Stansbury?

He has limited talent to work with. Which, is certainly his fault. But, to have them in position to win a game where they played worse than they had all year against a team that somehow gets undeserved home wins like clockwork... It doesn't fall on him today.

Stans clearly got outcoached today b/c they found a way to take out Bost and we never adjusted. But if you'd read my post you'd see that we didn't play with energy or effort and that's on the players. Everyone did their fair part in today's suckfest

... but it was definitely a combination of Stans and the effort from the 5 on the floor. Phil Turner can only give so much hustle, and if the team acts like they don't want it then we are never gonna win these games. You can't coach hustle and desire. Its just pathetic watching us running around clueless and getting mauled every time we get the ball or drive to the hoop. I'm disgusted.

there was a foul on Bost at the end but it was nowhere close to a flagrant foul - that's just ridiculous. They did allow their guards to play rough and that hurt us b/c our guards aren't very physical. But I felt they called it both ways as I saw us bump some guys and not get whistled either. Just they way they called the game today hurt us.

Calling it tighter would have certainly helped as there were also some take to the basket by Osby earlier where we didn't get calls. But we simply didn't play with passion and effort a lot of the game and bama did.

I just said that it's HIS fault that we have limited talent. HIS ONLY. Even if we did have Bailey and Smith... Bailey is not a talented player in the least and Smith is wholly unproven.

However some teams have off nights shooting then adjust ingame and dribble drive or work the ball inside to create better shots both inside and outside. You can overcome bad shooting by trying something else. We don't do this. We just run down and jack the 3 so..NO..the players are not allowed to have an off night in this "offense."

You can't coach hustle and desire

Are you serious? If a guy doesn't hustle, he has no business playing. Give his minutes to someone who is willing to hustle. The desire part I will give you, they either have the will to win or not. Right now our team just looks like they don't know what they are supposed to be doing and that is on our coaching staff.
