Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State all taking beat downs. So much for their final 4 bid.

The flipside to this argument is they actually played some good teams. We would have lost to Oregon, ND, and VT yesterday. Yet we played UAB.

I get it, they don't have to play Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M and then Georgia or Florida to potentially take home the title, and by year's end it turns in our favor, but I'm not going to beat my chest about how bad the B1G sucks when the marquee matchup of our conference this weekend was Mizzou-Toledo.

Plus Wisconsin last week

Then there was Nebraska,

History shows that you can have a good loss, early is best.

I doubt anybody in the SEC goes undefeated. GA may due to being in the east but they still have to play AU and possibly the SEC west champ. The losses in the SEC and BIG 10 sets up nicely for the PAC 12. Oregon and USC don't play in the regular season.

Losing early may be in the BIG 10s favor. Lot of football still to be played.
