Seeing tickets for sale on my company's bulletin board, and my wife's school district is giving tickets to some employees.

Blame it on last year's ***** *** defense blowing those last two games. Our last game Tyler also threw 10 interceptions and we lost to Northwestern. ******* Northwestern. It's hard for the casual "fair weather" fans to get up for this season after how we ended last year. And it's also hard for MSU to make a good showing out of state unless these same fair weather fans show up. (See Jacksonville circa 2010: Nashville circa 2011)

Fan base not big/rich enough to do this

The heck with all that. I just spent about $1500 in Omaha 60 days ago. Sent the BC my donation for the 4 on the 40 yard line last month. Plus the $1,120 for the tickets in May. You boys got more money than I do.

Just my perspective, but I see no reason to go to this game unless I lived within 3 hours of Reliant. No way I'm travelling out there and giving my money to big oil. They've got enough.

Games like these are similar to bowl games.

I don't anticipate a sell out, but keep in mind the organizers likely put a ton of tickets in the hands of corp sponsors and the community. Like bowl games, many of the tickets will be handed out by these parties. That's my assumption at least.

you know when someone says "big oil" they watch too much CNN/MSNBC and have an extremely difficult time thinking for themselves.

Ill be there. Out of all the people I know going, Im not sure any of them paid for tickets.

Was in omaha as well. Actually, didnt have the "experience" everyone makes it out to be. Outside of the games, it sucked. Houston should be much more fun.

No reason to go to the game??? How about the fact that Mississippi State is playing. That is all the motivation I need. My rule is that if I can get there within a day's drive then I am going if at all possible. Hell we have fans from Biloxi that make the 5 hour drive to Starkville for every game.

Just graduated. Don't have any money to go, so that's my excuse. All of you with money don't have one. My buddy works in Singapore and flew to Houston today just for the game (Houston is also where his company is based so I'm sure he finagled it to where he works in Houston or something next week).

I'll be watching it from a bar 1,700 miles away. Cheers.

There are tons of people leaving from Starkville tomorrow. Add to it the large alumni base that we have around Houston, and I think we'll have a good crowd.

I have $ and a great excuse. Sorry. You bring three kids under the age of three 7 hours in a vehicle to Houston. I'll kick back from my man cave basement with my piles of cash and drink while the kids take a nap.

/I actually considered leaving the family and flying down but it's the wife's birthday Saturday. I'm not dumb enough to pick that battle.

Haha that's a valid excuse. I moved into my sister's basement until I can find an apartment and she has a 5 month old and a 2 1/2 year old. They make going anywhere miserable. I think a lot more people in both of our shoes would be able to go if the game was played in NOLA or ATL or somewhere in relatively easy driving distance. Houston is their turf. I see the game as an away game, really.

Nice...

As someone who has repeatedly been called a libtard, I even think that's stupid. And what about a three hour radius means it's ok or not ok to give money to "big oil?"

Do they have a thing for students to take a bus from Stark? Like a charter? That's where this game is going to be lackluster, lack of students from both ends.
