I do not want to see another sideline display of crotch grabbing and finger-shooting by an Oklahoma player again.
I don't give a schit how great he was/is.
He disrespected the opponent, himself, his teammates, his coaches, OU and the game itself.

So much is lost in the written word. You couldn’t see the twinkle in my eye and my devilish grin, and I couldn’t see the vein pop out in your forehead. Regrettable in both instances. :D

Just expressing an opinion. Had nothing to do with anything you or anyone said. There’s nothing for you or me to “regret”.

I'm not chinese and I didn't care then or now. He did more positive things for OU than negative things and one can quickly tell who lives their lives worrying about the negatives.

You see something "dramatic" here ?

Yes. Extremely dramatic. It was an emotional response from a fiery competitor who'd been disrespected (the KU captains disrespected the game), taken a massive cheap shot to the head and had been getting **** talked from Jayhawk fans and players all game.

JMO:

Baker had been getting a lot of cheap talk, even after what had preceded the crotch grab, and I think that he just allowed it to get to him. Not to excuse him, it never should have happened but it will be a "lesson learned" as he goes on to the NFL where the crap is unmerciful.

"and had been getting **** talked from Jayhawk fans"

As I said, JMO.

In one of the All The Way episodes (#3,iirc), he said what set him off was that cheap shot (one of the most egregious I’ve ever seen in my 36 years of watching CFB, btw) combined with things that the KU coaching staff said/did that set him off.

Regardless of how you feel about Mayfield's gestures last season, the Kansas coaches and players who put up a 1-10 record (and are heavily outmanned by OU every year) showed a complete lack of smarts (and class) in their own display of unsportsmanship conduct last year.
If not shaking hands with Mayfield, in the presence of two children who came out for the coin toss, was intended to fire up the KU team, it proved to be greatly counterproductive. And if I had been the father of the two kids, I would make sure Coach Beaty would get an ear full about his team's behavior in front of my kids.
While I don't agree with Mayfield's sideline gestures (just an opinion, nothing more), I have no pity or respect for Kansas and what their coaches and players did, especially since it was premeditated...and dangerous.
My preference in this situation would have simply been for OU to get its revenge on the scoreboard, which it did, 41-3.

KU is a classless bunch of losers...glad Baker gave them a big serving of whoop *** even though the howling wind through that empty chasm of a stadium kept the score down. Hope we hang 70 on those chumps in Norman. Wish you all the best Baker...you were the entertaining leader which I really enjoyed. Keep the fire !!

I personally thought it was the best gesture in football last year besides the one NFL player that came out of the locker room, stood solo and paid allegiance to the flag during the playing of the National Anthem.
No doubt....it sure trumped JJ Watts raising $37 million ($100,000 of his own salary) for Houston's relief and recovery from Hurricane Harvey.

JJ Watt's relief efforts was pretty damn awesome. But I didn't/don't classify it as a gesture on the field.

Being honored for his relief efforts....on the field at Reliant Stadium as he ran out carrying the Texas flag....gets my vote.
And really.....crotch grabbing, finger flashing and yelling obscenities was "the best gesture in football last year" ?
