Vick Ballard's highlights look really good. This is the best video I have seen of Griffin too.

Ballard might look good but I just don't understand why he didn't have any more offers.

That was the first video of Griffin I have seen that really impressed me. In all the videos I have seen he has looked just good enough to beat the competition, but not dominant. Did show some good patience and vision in that video though. I just haven't seen breakaway speed or real break-tackle ability.

Ballard, on the other hand, looks to have it all on tape. He just looks fast and really slippery. I also have no idea why he wasn't recruited more heavily.

Not saying that 1A/2A don't produce SEC caliber players, but if he did, then his video should look really strong and is most likely not a good indicator of how he'll fare in college.

Ballard has a chance to make an immediate impact. As far as his offers maybe he just shut it down after he chose State.

Looking at Griffins video you can see the potential. I think with good coaching he can be very good down the road. Seemed to have good vision and agility. I feel I need to say something about his pad level as well, that was good too.

He looks more like a college back to me....shows a little patience and made some good cuts. Griffen looks like a freak athlete playing against inferior competition. Neither video was as impressive as Perkins last year....I think that little guy could be a freak in years to come

Obviously, there is a lot more to a player than a highlight video. So we aren't seeing the whole picture. I am glad we got Griffin, but he isn't one that I am pinning my hopes on.

I thought Griffin had exceptional vision even moreso than Ballard, but I don't know what to expect given his competition. Ballard looks to fill the same shoes Dixon was in against the JUCO competition. I think Ballard could go either way, he could look like Dixon of 2008 or Dixon of 2009. If it is 08, I don't care to see all that dancing around behind the line of scrimmage.

Only had offers from MSU and South Alabama.

I think it's because he's a JUCO more than anything. Yes, there are some highly recruited players that come out of the JUCO ranks, but by and large, most of them get very little respect.

will more than likely end up at safety. He certainly could possibly be a RB, but I think our RB's of the future 3-4 years from now are Conner, Perkins, and Matthew Wells.

Dan likes guys that are good athletes- all he has to do is find them a spot on the field to play.

I've played against vick three times in the past two years and I usually judge most athletes pretty harsh on what I think of them but I assure you he is one of the best recruits we are getting. He runs the ball hard and gets low and hits the hole quick and I don't know where yall get he doesn't break tackles bc he was the hardest running back to bring down each year for us and we even played against rashad henry from Arizona who ended the season as the nations number 1 Juco back.
